Andy is currently feeling burnt by Third Charm

I went in knowing there would be sadness which is probably why I liked parts of it. Maybe it should’ve been advertised differently.

There was so much insecurity, pettiness and jealousy in this drama but that happens in real life too. People are selfishly-flawed in real life and no one is bursting with candy happiness or fluff beneath cold-heartness. I didn’t mind the ending because it reminded me off the British movie One Day where romantic best friends meet once a year for 18 years on the same day.

I also have so many problems with the narrative. I found both main characters unlikeable at times and that was brave of the drama but they should have split the narrative equally between Young Jae and Joon Young because then we could actually experience the suffocation they felt and EMPATHISE with them. Instead they reveal through cop-outs all the sadness and depression that befalls Young Jae and it hurts us too but it still paints her as being seriously unlikeable because we don’t fully peek into her mind, when in reality they were both stuck in bad places with different intensities. The reason Ji Young in Individualist Ms.Ji yong was adored despite her ‘perceived likeablity’ is because we got to live in her shoes which didn’t happen in Third Charm

Either way this is not be rewatched and whilst the acting was superb, the story needed more balance and direction.

Individualist Jin Young focus on The female lead, while the third charm is the opposite. They have different narrative and message. I think the third charm has direction. Just might be have to be rewatch to understand what the writers want to convey. Note : If you can handle the heaviness of melodrama And the lead is definitely Joon Young.
