Honestly, the only one that I can think of that I’ve seen where the character’s sexuality is treated with respect is Answer Me 1997. Other than that, I don’t think any I have seen have had LGBT characters, or if they have then they were played for laughs.
There is the gay couple in Cheese in the Trap, Yeorim in Sungkyunkwan Scandal is bi or gay, The Lover has a gay romance, and the Chinese drama Love 020 has an implied gay romance.
But truthfully, in most K-drama I’ve seen non-hetero sexuality is played for comedy, or treated disrespectfully.
There was a gay character in Personal Taste. He kinda liked Lee Min-ho’s character. That was one of the first 10 kdramas I saw, and it was my first time seeing a gay character in a kdrama. He was played by Ryu Seung-ryong.

question out to the Beanie community: what are your favorite queer/LGBT k-drama’s? Or K-drama’s with great queer characters?
