I think GG1979 would have done well as 10/12 episode drama. 8 episodes feels too short, since only in the 4th episode are we getting to see the hints of something sinister burbling under the surface.
Same. There’s been a lot of little moments planted and I’m wondering if 8 episodes will be enough to elaborate on them. There was supposed to be a killer of some sort running around and we haven’t even gotten to that.
Exactly. I worried about how they are going to wrap things up and don’t want them to cram everything into the last 4 episodes (thereby ruining pacing) or let plot points slip through the cracks in their haste to cover everything.
I do expect a bit of an open ending since most high school dramas have that but I at least really want to see the mom-dad-aunt mystery revealed, what’s going to happen with Hye-joo and her father, and I want to know about Joo Young-choon’s past. Of course I want to see how the love lines play out but I feel like the love lines are a means for growth and so none of the pairings may come about.
Oh yes. Those three plot points I would love to see resolved as well. And if these are resolved at the expense of the love lines, I have no problem either. The only couple I’m actively enjoying is Young Choon and Hye Joo and their current interactions are enough to keep me more than invested.

Same. I’m shipping those the hardest. That last scene in episode 4 melted my heart.
