Lucky beanies who’ve been able to watch Dongjae, the Good or the Bastard: do you think it matters whether one has seen both seasons of Stranger/Forest of Secrets first?

I’ve seen the first season but not the second yet, and that feels like a big hill to get over if it’s necessary to enjoy this new show. (I will get to season two eventually!)

    I am sorry DONG JAE is not available to me but I did watch both seasons of FOS. One thing FOS2 showed was that Dong-Jae (when he put his mind to it ) was a d*mn good investigator.

    We’re only 2 episodes in and there hasn’t been any significant callback to S2. I’d say go ahead and watch. Any references to S2 will probably be explained in the recaps anyway.

    I’m one of the few Beanies who has never watched either season of Forest of Secrets but I started this new drama anyway. Granted, it’s only been two episodes, but so far it seems ok that I haven’t watched the previous shows.

    I have not managed to get into the 2nd season yet. I get bored during the first episode each time and by the time the episode ends, my mind has wandered elsewhere and I’ve missed all of it.

    I think Dongjae is more obvious in season 1. I thought season 2 was just to bring the two main leads together for another crime solving saga
