Beanies, what are your thoughts on Zhang Wanyi as an actor? I admit that I have only seen his performance in Lost you Forever and now I’m currently watching Are You the One. I find Zhang Wanyi to be very expressive and talented. However, I have read comments from people who believe that he is a mediocre actor.

    I have not watched Lost you forever, but I’m loving him to pieces in Are you the one (Hidden Charm).
    As you say, he is very expressive (there are some compilations of his facial expressions in this drama).
    I think he can act with his eyes. I feel everything just looking at his eyes.

    I think he’s a wonderful actor. In LYF I loved his slow burn anger and jealousy. In AYTO/Hidden Charm, I love how expressive his face is. In both dramas he does an amazing job with character development.

    From what I’ve watched of him only in Lost You Forever, I really like him and thing he has a really good screen presence and gravitas that is rare in young actors like him nowadays. He has the good type of restraint in his acting and I think he can go far!! I think he’s really suited for costume dramas but he was also the ML in the Chinese remake of Korea’s The Good Doctor which is on my “To Watch” list

      i was watching some behind the scenes for Fantastic Doctors and it seems that he did put in a lot of effort in his portrayal of the character.
