I agree. Sometimes when listening to Pansori pieces, I am reminded of the Sicilian Cuntastorie tradition. There is singing, storytelling, and simple musical accompaniment. I believe that in the Sicilian custom, the performance usually involved one person playing all the roles, as in traditional Pansori. I admittedly do not know a whole lot about Cuntastorie, but I have heard pieces here and there. I also haven’t listened to the an entire Pansori drama, but I am familiar with the above piece. Once gain, I am glad you enjoyed it.
