The Atypical Family. What do you mean by Da-hae’s past is Gwi-ju’s future? Even the time travel rules are atypical.

The things Da Hae has already lived in her past (recent past) are things that Gwi-ju has not lived yet (he has lived the same situations but differently). But then, in the future, he comes back to those moments and he does everything the way Da Hae had experienced.

Yeah. But this means he has no control on anything.

It seems at first when he was a child he was able to control it. After Ina’s birth he tried to control it but he was so obsessed with that day that he kept going back even if he didn’t want to.
And now he is discovering new things about his power, but he can’t control it yet.

This is the part that I find confusing as well, but I’m waiting for the show to explain it. I think it’ll come down to whatever super power or other issue is ascribed to Da-hae. Clearly, she’s not ordinary, either.

She keeps telling him exactly what he has to do in the future to make her past happen. I think it’s a time paradox or something.

Do you think she’s able to control his future by implanting ideas in his head or has she really experienced his future.

Well, the ML does everything because she tells him to do it (what she says he already did), so it kinda seems forced because he does it after hearing her say he already did it. He never did it out of freewill or just randomly.
It happens because she says it happens, which is weird. So if she has some mind-control superpower I wouldn’t find it odd.
But tbh I think he does everything just because.

We didn’t see the hand holding and hug at the fountain date in the present i.e. before he went back but we did see his future self holding her hand in the mall and holding her in front of that mirror so she did experience it before she told him about it.

But you remember she told him it happened? She told him he hugged her and gave her flowers. We saw her appear with the flowers.

Even if they didn’t show her experience, she had proof of it. When he got the flowers and went back, everything she said came true.

When that happened she didn’t believe that he had powers yet, so it wasn’t like she was lying (like she did with the marriage papers). It really did happen.

Maybe it is the editing or intentionally withheld information but its too confusing.

What do you mean by time paradox – seems intriguing.

A time paradox is a time contradiction, or something like that.

Like in this case, the future causes the past but then the past is what makes the future possible.

Conclusion: it’s nonsense with no beginning/end or regular logic. 😆
