So I watched the 2022 version of the film DITTO because I wanted more Kim Hye-yoon on my screen and didn’t want to wait 5 days to see her again in LOVELY RUNNER.

Anyway I went in blind, and I was not prepared for the mind fuckery. I was not prepared…. noooope. I don’t know what I was expecting but the movie took me for a ride for sure. Yeah now I’m definitely gonna watch the original film. Literally nothing makes sense anymore…I was trying to piece together the puzzle and it took my mind to places…places I never want to visit again

I love Ditto but never knew it was a remake. After reading your post I looked it up and saw Ditto 2000, and my mind kept translating it to Ditto 2020. I was so confused as why would you remake a show after only 2 years?? Then I was OH

is it worth watching both? i tend to start with the original one, cuz most times the remake gets changed for whatever reasons…

Honestly I have to think on it. But I do blame myself for trying to figure out the ending rather than letting myself go with the flow. I’m also gonna watch the original to gather my thoughts better

funny thing is, based on how kmovies used to be back then… until the end i thought future ML will turn out to be past ML’s son with the added layer of him pursuing korean literature (given past ML wanted to become a writer)

oh this movie.. lol.. is making me feel things.. and not in a good way for some of its characters

true blue 90s/ early 2000s era Kmovie for sure

Yes, I enjoyed it, too, although I thought there was only enough story for maybe a one-hour drama special. Yeo Jin-goo is so affecting, as always. It met my expectations about the ending (trying not to spoil anything for others here). I knew there was an original, and it has some big names early in their careers, but I find that older Korean movies don’t really work for me so I waited for this version.

Look closely at Jin-goo’s hands in the last scene.

          Mom deserves truth

Biggest betrayal was the tortoise. Who needs pet… only DOGS..

          this was a cry fest

and by last scene.. did you mean the ring in the ring finger?

oh this is one drama where i really wanted the daughter to end up as a romantic partner of ML with age difference so that both her parents can burn in hell…

( i am feeling very strong emotions on the betrayal) 😛
