Perfect Marriage Revenge is such a satisfying watch.
It’s so nice to see the leads win the little battles.

    It is so much fun.
On the surface it reads like a typical chaebol makjang setup.
It’s makjang without the screeching or cringe OTT plot.
We’ve been treated to a slew of standard drama tropes presented in a warm, lovely fashion .
The cast, writer and PD are putting the right touch to it.
Special shout out to the costume/wardrobe crew , the ladies rock the wardrobes.

Agree with you on all these points!! Yes, it’s a makjang, but most of the non-villain characters act reasonably and don’t screech – yay! For being about revenge, birth secrets, etc, it’s surprisingly warm!

Exactly ! Warm makjang ! Warm makjang romance comedy.
Did I say comedy ? Yes, I laugh throughout.
Let’s not forget Team Evil; Yoo Ra, Se Hyeok and StepMom
Cooking Seonsaeng looked fierce too. Mother hen looking after her chick ?

I’ve never been soooo interested in the wardrobe of so many characters.

“Satisfying” indeed. Also the plot doesn’t linger on or stretch to hair pulling lengths. The “issues” and “slaps” are swiftly dealt with.

I like how they confront problems and deal with them and move on. With 12 episodes they can’t waste time dragging stuff out.

Also I love how much “story” is stuffed in the episodes. As @darkcc enlightened us the drama has covered more than the current 111 chapters in the webtoon. Wow, just wow. 👏

Cecee cannot thank you enough for suffering on behalf of the Beanies. Really hope Swoon the Hoon can take away all your disgruntled takeaway from the webtoon.

the drama is helping me make peace with this atrocious piece of online garbage that doesn’t even deserve my attention.

I didn’t know Hoon-sshi before the drama, but I have to say that between him and the script writer, they’ve definitely managed to make Do-guk more palatable. I don’t even mean from a point of physical attractiveness (I have come across traumatising posts about him in my social media feeds… kids being shocked that the actor is not ugly and decrepit even though he is 40… because apparently 40 is the new 100 now? Hello, has nobody seen the ever-growing list of gorgeous-looking Korean male and female celebs who are 40 and over? I personally would put Kim Hae-sook on this list, especially after rocking any style Nam-soon’s stylists threw at her — but this is a rant for another day and another drama). Here, I specifically mean in terms of giving depth to and having obviously fun with a poorly webtoon-written character. The criminal, offensive side eye from Do-guk to Leg of Steel in last week’s episodes was gold.
Hoon-sshi, please, carry on leading the way. You may also change your trousers for something more fitting.
