He said he was robbed by bandits*.
What ! You didn’t catch that on film ? 😅
Many viewers would like to see him beaten and robbed.
*Last week I suggested he be killed by bandits.
He told Gil-chae he was going to “take care of it “ . 😒
His new wife (?) or concubine is expecting soon too.
What exactly happened to Gil-chae’s business while she was gone ?
Can she resume business ? I wish the writer filled in these details. Maybe next week.
I could have sworn it was mentioned that while Won-moo himself had returned to Joseon, he had sent someone in his stead to continue searching for Gil-chae. What happened to that part of the story?
It was too convenient to make him unlikeable and the pregnant second wife angle takes the cake.
I took it as lip service that Won-moo said he sent someone. The next mention is that “he”, (not sure if “he” was Won-moo or Won-moo’s minion) was robbed.
“I took it as lip service that Won-moo said he sent someone.”
In light of what transpired, I guess it was just lip service.
I thought the “robbery” was in reference to the night Won-moo let that older man with whom he had shared lodgings at the inn take his mother in order to purchase his son’s freedom. Since Won-moo had no ransom money left, he would have had to return home.

My Dearest Part 2:
What even was the point of Won-moo’s character? Oh, yes, plot device.

And what a convenient justification for divorce.
