Okay, episode 11 of Our Blooming Youth is the best so far.
Hwan has really grown in spades in the past few episodes and episode 11 shone a light on it.
You could literally feel Hwan’s frustration with the system.
You could also see Hwan trying his possible best not to let go of the personal growth he has built. And his earnestness at the end when his father failed him…my heart broke.
Kudos to Park Hyung-sik for portraying a complex range of emotions that finally made me connect with the CP. It was all about him and he owned it.
I think now will be the time for the people he has extended a hand of friendship to show up for him.
I quite liked this episode too! It felt like all the parts got moving. The rebels, the right minister getting ansty and making some quick moves (mostly wrong), the deeper exploration of the crown prince and the wonderful conversation between the king and CP!
I really hope the king is more than what he is shown to be. And he is in fact protecting his son and not abandoning him.

I believe this to be true about the king too. But then you never can tell. He has to free at least his son from the Cho family at least.

Park Hyung Sik is really good. He just has so much of charm and gravitas. He owns every role he is in
