Today I found out: Extraordinary Attorney Woo Ep. 12
Not only the case is real
Atty Ryu is actually Park Won-soon, human right lawyer as well 3-time elected Mayor of Seoul!
If it is true, this may probably be a controversial choice.
Before becoming Mayor of Seoul (elected 2011, then re-elected twice, in 2014 & 18), Park Won-soon was a human right lawyer, other then the 1999 case which adapted in this episode, he was also famous for helping to result the first sexual harassment conviction.
Ironically, what doomed him is also a sexual harassment case. July 8, 2020, a former secretary of his reported to police and accused him of physical and digital harassment over a period of four years until she transferred work departments to avoid the misconduct. He disappeared the next day, and later found dead in an rural area, probably committing suicide.
If this case doesn’t exist, he may be the next President of South Korea, as Moon Jae-in was planning to nominate him to be his successor (South Korean President can only be elected once, no re-election)
