Thought on Hellbound
I was ready to give all my love to Hellbound since I really like a few Netflix Original dramas and it has Yoo Ahin in it. But it wasn’t as I expected. I like the first 3 episodes despite how graphic it can be at times (why the hell punishers need to beat the sinner when they are going to torch him/her anyway?) and how can that baby survived yo? Without a scratch no less? But the ending is intriguing. So, she is reborn (?) after probably being damned to hell? Her charred remains are not even whole but I guess she gets all of her limbs back 😂😂 So what’s next? What about the other sinners? Am I going to see Chairman Jung with bad hair again? While I’m kinda meh with Hellbound, the ending definitely makes me anticipate its S2
One of the baddies said something to the effect that he didn’t know God was such a jerk…
Here’s how right he was — people are going to come back to life AFTER their possessions have be disposed of, home occupied by someone else, jobs filled by someone else, etc, etc. What a nightmare. And all so God can say “Ha ha, fooled ya!”
In the webtoon the story ends with the baby. So people coming back from the dead is something they made up for more seasons. In the comic no reason was given to why all this was happening & it kinda just gets decided as this random thing of nature that has no meaning. & the new truth just takes advantage of it for themselves.

I was thinking, what about the people whose remains got buried? This coming back alive thing looks highly impractical 🤣

I thought maybe Park Jung-ja regenerated cos she was the only one whose remains were preserved.

ahhh… so I guess S2 will be new plots that have nothing to do with the webtoon. I plan to read it to see what happened after S1 ending

Yeah, but I realized later that the director is the one who also wrote the webtoon. So he would be the right person to extend the story.
