A couple months ago, my husband and 16-year-old son saw The Godfather (1972) together for the first time. My son praised it saying, “It’s thrilling” before mimicking the scene where Luca Brasi gets whacked. “Great,” I thought. “My son just saw his first garroting scene.”
But today, the flashback throttling made me jump up from my chair. And that’s why we don’t bottle our feelings. Let it all out, indeed!
