If all the episodes had been self contained stories with occasional popping of other characters to kind of string together that they all live in the same universe that could have worked.
Maybe season 2 (assuming that’s what they’re setting up) they’ll be less all over the place.
I got the impression early on that maybe they were going to focus on each couple’s story separately. Like next season might be Kyung Jun and Rin-yi’s story and follow up with Geun and Soo Young. Now, I’m not so sure.
I’m glad I watched it even though it didn’t feel like a K-drama. It feels like they’ll continue it with the police officer/actress as the main couple next year.
You pose a good question. If they are to continue the series, would it be with a different cast each time? I could see that working because the current cast is too expensive to retain.
