Both are amazing shows, but I love HP more.
Plz don’t ask about all the why’s for choosing HP, bcoz I would go on and on and on… but in the millions of all the whys, one main one is; Chilbongie got the girl! ♥️
Maybe if I was forced to pick with a gun to my head it would be:…………………LIVE. HOSPITAL PLAYLIST was wonderful. One of my favorite actors played my favorites doctor (Joon-wan) in the show: Jung Kyung-ho. For a genre I place HP in ‘romantic drama’. I don’t know if that was the intent at the start but for me that is how it finished. As regards the HP image I am sure I am in the distinct minority when I say that I thought Jung-won should have followed his heart into the priesthood. (I am now ducking for cover lol.)
I am not sure why I slightly prefer LIVE and it is a couple of years ago. I am cops/crime genre guy. It was a great story. There were so many wonderful performances and I don’t recall it being heavy on romance. Then again my memory maybe shoddy. So that it my 2 cents.
Live all the way! Hospital Playlist was a good drama but for me, the story focused too much on who will end up with who. Live was amazing in its depiction of the day to day lives of cops, their struggles, friendships, relationships. The characters were so well rounded.

I love Hospital Playlist to the moon and back – but objectively speaking, Live is a heart smearing drama that shakes you.
This is a case of ‘favorite’ vs ‘best’. At the end of the day, we viewers win because we get to watch two amazing dramas! Lucky us.
