FOS2 ep13-14 really blew me out of the water as many other beanies have stated. And as others have stated, I too was feeling a bit disappointed during the first 12 episodes because nothing really seemed to make sense. There were so many cases going on with no resolution. And even for the cases that did have a “resolution” something didn’t feel satisfying about their ends. It was always a “so what, what does this mean?”
BUT I’m so glad it was this way because for once, we know more or less as much as the main characters of this drama know! We’re so used to crime/procedural dramas where we’re given who the antagonist is early on in the drama and we just watch the protagonists try to figure out what we have already been given. Thankfully, LeeSooYeon has the backing of fans and reputation of the first season to let her try something like this where something didn’t need to be revealed so early on and we can join in on the hunt and reveal. Season 1 did something similar but there was Lee Chang Joon while Season 2, there wasn’t an outright antagonist to look out for. It made things frustrating but we got to join in on the frustration that probably Shimok and YeoJin were facing too.

Just when you think you’ve seen all from HSM – Ep 14 showed us the many other facets of this man in the most unexpected way.
I am awestruck by everything in this episode!!

the way he touched her arm, to get her to sit down. I noticed and screamed inside and then stayed glued to the tension on screen.
