Episode 1 of My Unfamiliar Family had the right mix of family, melancholy, and comedy, and I really liked it? Kind of surprising to see this drama air on tVN because it reminds me of a KBS weekender with all the good things, minus the filler episodes.
In terms of a standards KBS weekender, the first episode had an equivalent meaty first 4 episodes of a 50-episode drama. I’m just diving into episode 2 now and hoping it is as good as the first one!
It was a really good first episode. I love family dramas which is probably why I tend to like KBS weekenders. I’m happy to see a KBS weekender setup with the higher production values of PT dramas and the lower episode count.
