Couldn’t see my original post so I decided to re-post here!
Do forgive me if it shown double on your screen.
If there’s anything I learned from watching 9 episodes of Hospital Playlist, it’s DON’T EVER EXPECT ANYTHING DRAMATIC FROM THIS SHOW! (By dramatic I mean cheesy things we’ve seen in other drama)They are REAL people living their every day lives.
I have so many things to say about Ep.9 but I need more time to get my head together. But ONE thing I can say right here right now……..
I’m so PROUD of Kyeo-Wool and so GRATEFUL to Jung-Won.
She is growing beautifully and becomes a great doctor. All thanks to him.
As I’ve come to adore her as a person, so I’m abandoning the ship.
I don’t care anymore whether they end up together coz I know she’s gonna be alright either way.
(Though in the deepest place in my mind, I still hope they do. They compliment each other perfectly)
I also want to give her a hug and say: “Kyeo-Wool ah, you are doing great”.
I really like how she learns to do whatever task better when she messes up. I love me some growth.
I will, however, stay on this ship because I’m delusional like that. You are right though, she is someone who is self-aware enough to bloom wherever she lands. I don’t think if she doesn’t end up with Jeong-won she will be broken. She will dust herself up and keep shining.
I might choose the wrong word.
By abandon, I didn’t mean I’m not gonna cheer for them. I still do. Trust me.
But I’m not going to watch the show just to see them ending up together anymore. (I have to admit that I started this series solely for that purpose). ^^
I am just going to enjoy watching them find their own happiness. Whether that is what I want for them or not. I’ll be fine. I wish them all the best.
At first, I also felt bad for her (coz I LOVE her so much. I’d adopt her if I could. HEE).
But this time, I kind of appreciate his approach. Instead of calling her to the side, reprimanding her for being insensitive not knowing that the mother doesn’t understand anything she’s saying. He steps in, sets an example for her on how to deal with the situation then leaves without making any fuss.
Kyeo-Wool is smart enough. Once she thinks it through, I believe she understands his intention and wouldn’t feel so offended.
She’s improving from before and he also sees it. So is he. They are learning from each other.
It seems like the mom noticed it too so she was very grateful when she explained it to her later on with drawings. She knows her child is in good hands.
But was this the same mom who also gave her the coffee with BTS(?) ? If it was that mom, I’ve been wondering if it was intentional that she gave her that BTS coffee? Or was it just an ordinary coffee for a tired doctor? Hehhe
Yes, the same mom.
Yes, it’s bts coffee.
(same with what Ik-Joon gives her in the beginning of the episode. She has 3 of them now; Jung-Kookn, Suga, and Jin).
Who could’ve told the mom that our Kyeo-Wool is an army (a.k.a bts fanclub not the same army as Ik-Soon is or Chi-Hong was in. HEE.)?
Oh and did you see the side glance that Ik joon gave Jungwon when Ik joon was telling the gang that he and Min ha are best friends and that they’re going to teokbokki with Gyeo-wul and Jungwon said abruptly that Gyeo-wul is busy? 😂
Both Ik-Joon and the show itself are such a tease on the Winter ❤ Garden couple. The y ALWAYS make us believe there something going on between these two (you can find a comprehensive list on my previous post ^^).
But after seeing what happen with Ik-Joon this episode, I started to doubt myself. He has been introduced as a quick witted character who can catch on every little details. He can even pick up the slightest hints that there’s something fishy going with his patient (the fake son donor case). Also, he is in good terms and is close to everyone around the hospital
including staff in other departments or even a cafeteria worker.
Yet he has no idea what happened to his own sister & misjudge the father of his patient.
I feel like the show is subtly telling us to the same message. Hahaha.
This is among the fav sequences in Ep 9 – so proud of both GW and JW as the mentee and mentor. GW has grown into such an endearing character that we can see her walk into sunset with pride with or without JW.
Hospital Playlist is like a flawless drama that’s getting my 100% unabated love – just enjoying seeing the interaction between F5 and among their peers and families. I feel like meeting my family every Friday – 3 more episodes to go and I hope it’s not another year before we can see them again.
I can talk about Kyeo-Wool all day long.
She started out being such an interesting character but now she turns into a better version of herself whom I adore and admire so much.
I love that she has lots of self-esteem yet she is opened to criticisms, not afraid to apologize, and willing to change for the better. Though she often falls back into her old habits, with only a little nudge she notices her mistakes right away. She doesn’t let the chance to redeem herself slip away either. This time, she genuinely wants to be a better doctor for her patients and their family.

I felt so bad for her when Jeong Won took over the explaining, but she did so well the next time I was proud of her! Il
