So…I think one thing about Yi Seo, despite how smart and intuitive she can be, is that she doesn’t always consider the big picture. Like, OK. I know she is trying to help Saeroyi with his revenge and to become big enough to take on and topple JangGa….but with this franchising and investor opportunity in ep. 11…Saeroyi is right to want to open locations one by one. DanBam and IC Inc. is still a business and now a corporation…he has to create a good business first and if he’s just running after JangGa that will never happen. Longevity, stability, trustworthiness is all needed. The work it would entail to rebuild the brandname if a bunch of shops fail at once and the investors pull out. Yikes City. Yi Seo, sis, please.
Soo Ah showing Geun Soo his privilege was harsh but necessary. Maybe if someone would have showed Geun Won that side of himself, he would have turned out a much better man for it. It really helps you understand her more cus she knows she doesn’t have all those chances or connections and for all the stability she gets at JangGa, it takes one slip to have that all come crashing down. I still think she doesn’t make good choices and that she needs to trust the whip-smart woman that is HERSELF but she’s not wrong. And Geun Soo will be smarter for it.
And yes, I’m on my computer now. Hi! Lol. (I realized I probably should have turned my other posts into threads by leaving comments on them. I’ll do that next time.)
Going forward with a huge corporation is no easy thing to do. Leave it up to Saeroyi to do it big each time. Although I still agree with his one-by-one approach and want Yi Seo to see the bigger picture not just of success but of failures too I do admire the gumption. But just like when the crew was trying to anticipate if Jang CEO was going to abandon Geun Won or not, I just want Yi Seo to use that big brain for a Plan B as well as Plan A (remember she said to just give up if he does and she didn’t think about buying a building before either). I guess that’s why her and Saeroyi make a good team though. He is the big picture thinker.
A two year plan?! A Plan B?? Little Yi Seo is rapidly growing right before my very eyes. LOL, it’s funny how all the things I’m critiquing her on are things she’s taking on this episode. Sure, it’s more internal and not business but I kinda like it happens in her personal life first and it makes sense. Also for the first time, I think we see her hurt by some harsh words. I hope she takes note and learns to be not less honest but more thoughtful in her approach and phrasing of certain things!
