Our Movie: Episodes 5-6
by Dramaddictally
Our Movie gets meta at the halfway mark, giving us more insight into our hard-to-read hero. And while the two leading ladies grapple for his gruff attention, our heroine finds herself back in the hospital, with her secret sneaking closer and closer to the surface.
EPISODES 5-6
Yes! This drama suddenly has my full attention. I knew something felt off about that final kiss last week, but I was afraid to come out and say that Je-ha might just be a jerk. This week, however, we dive back into that same scene, which looked all lovey-dovey in the rain, only to see our hero back up and tell Da-eum that’s enough with script rehearsal. Oh, and then he comments on her poor positioning during the kiss from a directorial point of view. Youch! He’s mean!
But I gotta tell ya, the minute this occurred, my interest perked up. Something was sticking in my side about the way this story was going and now our drama is telling us why. I find Je-ha’s hot-and-cold behavior off-putting and hard to decipher, and that is by design.
We learn this week that the original script for Love in White is a love story — where a man falls in love with a woman who he already knows is dying — and that’s the tragic romance of it. But, by all accounts, Je-ha’s rewrite of the script is simply a tragedy. The male lead is using the dying woman for his own purposes, and there’s no real love to be found.
Holy meta, what are we to make of our own male lead in that case? Well, we’re given a motive for Je-ha’s callousness. He believes that while his mother was dying, his father stepped out on her with the lead actress in Love in White. It was a scandal at the time, and later — when Je-ha found himself in the midst of his own dating scandal with Seo-young — he broke it off with her, telling himself that he didn’t want to be like his father.
But here’s the thing: motive or not, he still broke it off with her in a horrible way. We see in flashback that he told Seo-young he was using her feelings for him to get emotional depth from her while filming, but now that the movie’s over, they can go their separate ways. No wonder this woman took it so hard and is still not over him! Watching him destroy the feelings of both Seo-young and Da-eum is making me wonder how the heck I’m supposed to root for this guy (but then, whoever styled Namgoong Min in those glasses knew the answer to keep me coming around).
Anyway, after the rain incident, Da-eum finds herself back in the hospital with a high fever. In her condition, this could be deadly. But even as her father tries to hold her hostage there, she creeps out, with Seo-young offering friendly assistance. Or, so it seems.
Really, Seo-young is all types of jealous and she’s at the hospital to dig around in Da-eum’s business. Seo-young acts like they’re still buddy-buddy, but she wants to expose whatever Da-eum is hiding. With nowhere to go, Da-eum winds up at Seo-young’s apartment — but Je-ha promptly puts an end to that.
In fact, when Je-ha shows up and tells Da-eum to leave with him, he’s over-the-top jerky to Seo-young again. She says she was excited to work with him, like the old days, but he’s behaving like someone she doesn’t recognize and can’t predict. And this dreamboat retorts that he’s not there to be someone she can predict — that’s what she should expect from someone who loves her, not from him. I mean, come on! She might be posed as the antagonist here, but he’s the one nailing the a-hole act.
Afterward, Da-eum still has nowhere to go, so Je-ha takes her to his childhood home, which has been sitting empty. She apologizes for kissing him the night before and he gives her an oddly flirtatious, while also distant, pep talk about not apologizing so much. I can’t read him, and neither can this poor girl who still has her hopes way up.
Later, when Da-eum and Je-ha find themselves scouting shooting locations outside of Seoul, Da-eum tries her chances again. She makes it clear that she’s into him (he’s “a ray of hope after all the loneliness”), but she uses the movie script as a way to divulge her feelings. For her, the script makes total sense — and she believes that the female lead should be the one to kiss the male lead first in order to signal something is beginning between them (ahem, like our drama?).
But Je-ha says, “They’ve only known each other a week, so they’re not acting on real feelings.” She responds that a week is more than enough time to fall in love. And he says, “One week is enough time to destroy love too.” Oh boy, this chick is in trouble.
But one thing we learn about Da-eum is that her feelings aren’t coming out of nowhere. Actually, she tried out for the lead in Je-ha’s debut movie and passed the first round. She didn’t go to the second round (I believe because she got sick) and Seo-young got the part. Then, when Da-eum saw Je-ha was doing research at the hospital for his next film, she purposefully sought him out. So, it seems like this crush has been brewing.
With that, she goes out on a limb and admits to Je-ha she has feelings for him. But just then, her alarm goes off, telling her she needs to eat, and the two find themselves awkwardly sitting together before Je-ha says much in response. On the walk home, he finally tells her the brutal truth — which is that he thought she’d already be gone by the time the film released. And further, he wondered if her passing away would generate publicity and make the film a success.
She looks like she’s holding in a mountain of pain as he says this. And he finishes by telling her there’s a line they shouldn’t cross. “Those fleeting feelings might actually be good for you right now. But I don’t want this film to be ruined because of those feelings.”
Poor Da-eum rushes off to her hotel room to cry and try to contain her heartbreak. And in his own room, Je-ha looks at himself in the mirror like he’s not sure about what he’s just done. Earlier, we saw him in conversation with Da-eum’s dad, who asked him if this movie was more important than Da-eum’s life. Since then, the question seems to be niggling Je-ha, who is finally taking the time to research Da-eum’s condition and become concerned about her health needs.
Finally, he has a second meeting with Da-eum’s dad, telling him that he’ll take Da-eum’s illness seriously from now on. If things don’t go well, he’ll remove her from the film, even if it means the movie can’t continue. Is he simply growing a heart? Or is his heart being swayed by Da-eum specifically?
Well, on set, everyone thinks Je-ha’s heart is being swayed. In fact, as shooting starts, so do the rumors. And Da-eum is making enemies left and right. Seo-young has it out for her already, but there’s another actress, whom Da-eum knows from college, and that woman is also cut throat in trying to dig up Da-eum’s dirt.
At an event with the film crew, a makeup artist (Joo Min-kyung) asks if something is going on between Da-eum and Je-ha. Once people start paying attention, they agree that it seems possible, given how the two interact (like, how close he stands to her, which has bothered me from the beginning).
But in terms of the drama’s themes, this is placed within the context of two scandals that are happening on other film sets. One movie has a dating scandal, where the male director was secretly going out with both female stars. And the other scandal has to do with a director who’s known for writing last-minute scenes to get actresses naked in his films. Seo-young worked with this second guy, and is still suffering psychologically from it. Her refusal to work with him ever again actually leads to her leaving her agent in these episodes.
While this thread has been weaving in since the beginning, this week it becomes clearer what the drama wants to say on the topic. After the makeup artist questions the relationship between Je-ha and Da-eum, she goes outside with the camera operator and discusses how scandals affect young actresses in their careers (and, I’ll add, that the male directors go on to become successful). After her spiel, the camera operator takes off his coat and offers it to her in the cold, and she yells, “This is what I’m talking about! Stop it!” Haven’t they learned anything about what’s inappropriate at work?
To end our week, at the same work event, Seo-young gets a little drunk and mouthy, asking Je-ha in front of everyone if he could love someone knowing how it was going to end. He surprises her by saying, “Maybe that’s what it takes to make it love.”
After this, Seo-young waltzes up to Da-eum to ask her point blank if she’s dying.
Wow, this drama just got a whole lot better. My dislike for Je-ha has increased my like for the story so much. I really can’t read him as a character. His actions and words don’t always line up, since his words are usually harsh, but his actions run from too cold to too close. This guy is totally made to cause confusion in open-hearted optimists like our heroine. And also, once-open-hearted optimists like Seo-young. Even if we’ve got the women pitted against each other, I’m on their side.
And I’m happy that this subtle thread about inappropriate behavior on set and the gender power differential was made explicit. In the Week 1 recap, I wrote about how much it bothered me, but I wasn’t sure at that time if the drama was doing it intentionally. Now that I know it is, I’m all ears as to what else it has to say, and just how gutsy it’s willing to get.

A quick note to say I love the title cards on the prologue of Episode 5 where for the first time we got a rare glimpse into the psyche and motivations of Je-Ha who has been like an enigma and cipher thus far.
His fear of turning into his father - a man he hated for the perceived betrayal and abandonment of his mother - and his adamant refusal to go down that path is now revealed to be what's driving that rejection of all the lead actresses who made romantic overtures at him.
p.s. Je-ha isn't a predator or a jerk; he simply isn't emotionally available because of the historical baggage he inherited from his parents.

Hum... I wonder if I watch the same drama than Dramaddictally. It was clear from the start that Je-ha didn't want to be like his father and it's why he was rejecting Da-eum and I think he's aware of his feelings. He can't help to search for her when she's in his surroundings. And they showed the scene when they call the name of Da-eum for the audition but she's crying in the bus because of her sickness. So we already knew it was her second chance with him.
During the funeral scene, I wondered when we will see the flaschbacks with Gong Min-Jung because it was cleary her face on the funeral picture. It was nice to see the mother convinced the father that their love for the child makes them feeling trapped. Je-ha reassured him about the fact he wants to take care of Da-eum and at the opposite he said to her, he's not playing with it.
Poor Da-eum, Je-ha acting cold and hot must be destabilizing. But once, the misunderstanding of the past will be resolved, Je-ha could love her freely, I hope!

I have only seen ep.5... but my impression from Jeha so far is that he is way more into Daum than he wants to admit to himself. All his actions speaks differently than his words. And his heart also seems to be of a different opinion than he is forcing his mind. He is definitely drawn to Daum (also given his love for his mom) and I interpreted his kiss differently - that the emotions got over him... and then he got back to his cynical self and played it cruel on purpose. Because... that's not how you kiss when it is just a scene rehearsal, Jeha. 😁
And I see a huge difference between Jeha's relationship with Seoyoung and with Daum - he was actively avoiding any advances of Seoyoung (I doubt they ever kissed or were intimate) and honestly, I personally was sometimes uncomfortable with how Seoyoung approached him in the past. Jeha now claims he was leading her on, but I don't know, he was clearly uncomfortable and still is around her. What's complete opposite with Daum. He wants to be with her, he even offered her staying in his old house. And he is jealous, he is worried, he is full of emotions.
I may of course be completely wrong and Jeha is just a jerk of a highest order... and I'm completely under the spell of Namkoong Min with soft seducing looks through Harry Potter glasses. 😊😊

I’m with you @dorotka about Je-ha.
We’ve seen so many a time the description about a certain type of ML character who does not believe in love due to some personal trauma. None really is convincing until I see Je-ha. He’s one character making all sorts of trouble to not fall in love.
He has a heart nonetheless and he is on his way to hopelessly fall for Daeum. I’m struck in Ep 5 after he left Daeum in the rain scene that he said to himself in the car along the line “you did well Je-ha” which, in my view, is his mocking himself for being so cold and cruel to Daeum. But the build up of his can’t help care Daeum from setting up his own alarm for her meal and medicine times, ensuring no shooting location is far away from hospital are all quite something. His taking her to his childhood home is perhaps the most telling. Guess no people in his circle has been there.
To me, the biggest puzzle is the exact relation between his father and that actress as she’s keen to disclose the truth to Je-ha. I really love how the reel mirrors the real over what is essentially the same story setup.
I don’t usually watch NGM (and Stoke League might be the only one I watch in full) but his Je-ha captures my attention totally.

Seo young is annoying me. It is 150% none of her business what Da Eum is going through. the fact that she had the audacity to go to her doctor and ask is insane. Her jealousy, particularly because she is in a relationship is unhealthy and bordering on unhinged. Let's be better.
Je Ha is also bother me, sir you KISSED her. The young and naive woman will of course have a crush on you, now you are just being mean to her. You are an adult, communicate like one. Annoying man.
Da Eum, just wants to be in a movie and live her best life. Everyone except her bestie seems to not understand that.

Seo young going trying to get info from Da eum's doctor was wildly inappropriate and horrifying. Yes, she is currently in a relationship and, from the best I can tell from the flashbacks, it seems that she never really was in a relationship with Je ha. At the very least it was a clearly one sided one.

Thanks for the recap @dramaddictally
Just wanted to ask if it’s just me but my view would be that the manager is not supposed to be drinking on duty and after the first massive mistake there should not be an opportunity for a second incident to occur. Now that Daeum’s picture is out there she should not be out in public without her manager. I also don’t get why they didn't hire a driver to drive the manager and Daeum back to Seoul.
I am confused how Hyeyoung can justify her behaviour to herself let alone anyone else because shouldn’t she as the agency lead be focused on protecting her client’s interests especially in these situations were the female actress is at a disadvantage. She was adamant that Seoyoung would never work for Jeha after the way he treated and yet she is actively forcing her to work with Director Park who is so slimy and despicable. This is especially difficult to make sense of when she knows that Seoyoung is still suffering the after effects of the last time she worked with him. I also don’t understand how she expects anyone to supply her with information about Daeum when she is not even pretending to be interested in them in their own right.
I really like this drama and the complications around Jeha being very interested in Daeum as a potential love interest, and wanting to protect her as an actress especially because she is sick. He is not able to wait until the show is over to start a relationship because she is unlikely to be well enough if she is still alive at that point.
Daeum has consistently been the one leading on wanting to move from platonic to romance and was determined he would be her first kiss. They both tried to style it out after that kiss but then she wanted him to know the feelings were real. He is being very cold in his rejection to avoid any ambiguity but he keeps being pulled back because being in close proximity makes it too hard to maintain his emotional distance.

Yeah, Hyeyoung seems to follow money and doesn't really care about Seo-young. After watching how Seo-young is acting around Je-ha, it wasn't a bad idea to not let her working with him again but she did because they weren't sure that the movie will find producers. The other PD is a jerk but brings money.

I do believe Je ha is not being a jerk. Because of his hate to his father and the trauma of the death of his mother, he believes that love is a torture to anyone who foolishly falls in love. It maybe has something to do about his father actions of leaving his mother while she was sick. Therefore, I get it that he can brutally honest.
Anyway, the kiss in the rain makes me think he is being swayed from his feelings (????) The scenes when Seo young tried to kiss him many times, he had avoided all the Seo young advances, but not with Deum. Oh, well can’t wait for more episodes.

The thing is dramaddictally, we are in a retro kdrama. Sure, it brings up that actresses dating directors usually puts them in a power imbalance. But this is not the drama to explore that reality on our screen.
Because you see, Da-eum is that exception, the pure innocent who will crack that cynical shell of Je-ha (unlike those ambitious, experienced actresses aka #notlikeothergirls). So yes, he’s being a jerk but I guarantee you we’ll find out he really loves her.
Aww, the fairytale continues while IRL actresses are usually exploited.

To paraphrase Hamlet's existential dilemma for 'Our Movie':
"To decathect or not to decathect - that is the question."
Decathect: verb (used with object)
Psychoanalysis
to withdraw one's feelings of attachment from (a person, idea, or object), as in anticipation of a future loss.
Sentence example: He decathected from her in order to cope with her impending death.
That was the taunting gauntlet Seo-young threw down at Je-ha over team dinner: "Can you ever love a person whom you know is dying already?"
His quietly telling answer: that to be able to do so, is perhaps the definition of love.
Narrative wish-list: I kind of wish in this ever-tightening turn of the screw in the tension between a looming production deadline & her own expiration Je-ha and Da-eum would boldly abandon art/film to actually embrace real life and spend their last few months *in* love, and not wasting time making a damn movie *about* love.
Tbh, they both only turn to movies (one to star in, one to create) precisely because they never had that authentic real-life experience of truly falling in love - movies as a medium is their escape & vicarious fulfilment in lieu of life itself.
The lasting legacy of "our movie" may well be the home-made vignettes captured on her lil camcorder of their happiest moments together

Yes I agree that turning their life together into the movie where she can be the main lead without the need for the hype machine, retakes and jealousy from co stars would be the best use of her time. What we see in the credits and at the start of episode one feels like that’s the real version of their movie.

There are studies that show men are more likely to leave their wives when the wife is diagnosed with a serious illness than the opposite, so maybe it's better they don't start a relationship... ( I think it was around 20% of men leaving their wife and 2% of women leaving their husband)

And if you think about it, Je-Ha has had an imprinting of that in his early formative childhood years -- he loved his withering mother to her last dying breath, even as he had to witness her diminishing and his father's departing at the same time.
Our ML did not say that from empty bravado or romantic swagger, his quiet answer came from a place of bittersweet life experience.

The takeaway I got from these last 2 episodes is that the SK film industry is quite small. What are the odds that two former classmates of Da eum's end up working on the movie? Also, everybody knows the dirt on other sets. Poor Da eum, after five years away she immediately has two women that are determined to "expose" her because of jealousy. I wonder what role her first love will play in the future. Perhaps his jealousy might lead him to try and "expose" Je ha? Things are about to get messy!

Dear Beanies, please don't come after me with pitchforks, 😱but might I suggest a combined reading of events?
First off- let's be clear that NGM's insanely handsome, and beautifully styled. I could probably just stare at him appreciatively for an hour like Michelangelo's David! 👀💖I am also drawn into this drama about storytelling vs reality, and whether tragedy is more realistic than hope, all set in a world I know and (mostly) love.
But the central question here seems to be how we feel about Je-ha's character. Is he being cold to protect himself or is he being a jerk? And I think it's probably a bit of both.
In other words, it's definitely heavily implied that he DOES feel things for De-eum in a way that he seemingly hasn't for any? woman before (again, his past 'relationship' with seo-young seems to be her kissing him once, but I guess we may not know everything there).
But there are also (IMO) red flags there that suggest he wouldn't necessarily be the best choice of partner even if she weren't dying.
Everyone has noted the jealousy of the two female characters, but Je-ha's jealousy and possessiveness is also very clear. He is basically using the excuse of people finding out about her condition if she spends any time with them to isolate her from everyone else.
She's already been told she can't hang out with her co-stars, and this week we saw him inventing excuses to interrupt her talking to her old friend (ex) as well. The recap mentions how callous he was to Seo-young when he went to her apartment, but his dictatorial controlling behaviour to De-eum where he just tells her to go and sit in the car like she is a child is not about just protecting his own feelings.
That is just not great behaviour. (There are a number of aspects of his behaviour that from a psych perspective would lean into coercive control).
There are aspects of his behaviour that I think can be read almost entirely through the prism of wanting to stop her (but maybe even more, himself) from crossing the line (like how he pivoted after the kiss) because of a number of reasons - her impending death, his fear of doing anything to ruin his film (which she also wants as her legacy) and his fear of being like his father and having a relationship with his leading lady, but there are other elements of his behaviour that I don't think can be fully explained away or justified by that.
So when it comes to the question of self-preservation or jerkiness - I say 'por que no los dos?' (why not both?!!!)
(To add to the other positives:
The cinematography is appropriately fabulous for a story about filmmaking, and I love the philosophical ideas it's raising about whether quality of life is more important than quantity (I'm on team Da-eum with that one. Better to have squeezed every drop out of your life and end it sooner, than get another year sitting in a hospital bed....)

I use MDL for similar purposes. It’s like a drama wiki to check old, current and upcoming dramas. In the past, I used Soompi but MDL’s search is straightforward and fast. The comments there are a mixed bag but the very good ones are insightful. At the end of the day, I guess I’m old enough to judge whether it’s a fangirling piece or real commentary. But I haven’t registered or entered any comments myself.

He's clearly jealous. But I really think he's right about warning her to keep distance with people of the movie. He never talked badly about her father or friend. So he's not trying to isolate from everybody. He gave her a manager to help her too.
He intervened in the conversation between her and her first love only when he asked why she disapeared because the answer was her illness.

See, I watched these episodes and got the sense that Je-ha was was somewhat admirable (in a very relative, the-bar-is-in-hell kind of way), because he explicitly never crosses that line. His traumatic backstory makes him hyper-vigilant about the appropriate distance from his FLs. I got the sense he never dated Seo-young at all, even if he didn't outright reject her feelings until after movie (which *was* messed up). With this second movie, I feel like he's trying his very best to draw away from Da-eum, but he's falling for her too - which is why his words are so cold but his body language is flirty.

Hey, don't apologise sista!
I for one, am Team Je-ha all the way! 🤣🤣
In fact, I would go as far as to say, a lot of the perpetrators of boundary-transgressions and line-crossing in this show are the females!
List of offenders:
1. Female director of talent agency
2. Seo-Young
3. Jae-in
4. Da-eum (yes, even our FL)

Yes to everyone of these not even subtle as they are using a long jump run up as they sail over the line🤣

They didn't just do a long jump run-up, some of the line-crossing are so egregious and jaw-dropping I think they likely use a pole to vault over too! 🤣
Digress: I happen to be concurrently watching My Dearest (Ep 19: the infamous amnesia trope) and NGM is surely channeling a Joseon-era Je-ha LOL.
There was a hilarious scene where the amnesiac libertine was sputtering at having his modesty outraged as Gil-Chae touched him all over to apply wound ointment 🤣

Great minds think alike, I was debating mentioning the pole vault 🤣.
I didn’t watch My dearest because sageuk politics are too annoying for me to spend my precious down time tolerating. I know season one was well loved but season two had mixed reviews.

‘(in a very relative, the-bar-is-in-hell kind of way)’ 👈🏾🤣 I love this description and it does sum up so many ambiguous characters in dramaland where it’s not hard to shine when compared to the awfulness of the other characters.

One dollar lawyer is like a game of two halves first half Good manager style wacky and second half Hot stove league serious. There is a massive hole where the bridge that joined the two halves used to be before it was blown up.

Something about this show keeps me glued to the screen. There was a lot of jealousy this week that I'm surprised I haven't wanted to fast forward scenes or quit watching. Ugh Seo Young, the other actress, and now I'm wary of Da Eum's first love. It's been many?? years since they last saw each other. She didn't ghost him before rejecting him. But right after meeting her again, he wants to know the reason why she didn't want to date him? He should have moved on already.
A major, magnetic reason is Namgoong Min's acting and his layered character. A male lead with trauma that has believably affected his personality and influenced his actions.
So many people are noticing Je Ha and Da Eum. I was like when did Seung Won notice? Must have been during the table read. XD He's more perceptive than I thought.
Loved that the makeup artist called out the camera guy when he offered his jacket because he thought she was cold. She didn't look cold at all! And she was wearing her own long sleeve jacket. Glad the drama made a point about this type of situation.

I think Jeha’s biggest mistake is trying to sail the ship alone. If he brought in his two trusted allies Seungwon and his friend who is acting as his manager it would stop the spotlight being on him. Currently he is acting out of character and beyond the scope of his role but bringing those two in would solve a lot of those issues. Seungwon would read the room and head things off at the pass which fits for his role e.g. not dropping those publicity pictures randomly and the manager would actually do his job, instead of chasing the Assistant Director and getting drunk. I can’t believe that Jeha has not given him a firm telling off for socialising in a way that prevented him from doing the ONE job he was hired to do. He was absent from his duties for a full day when he was sleeping off his hangover. It looked like they all left him at the location site because he was not in a position to drive.
I also liked the make up artist point. I recognised her voice but couldn’t place her then I realised she was the foster sister who was in a polyamorous relationship in No gain no love.

I so agree with you, Reply!
Jeha should have confided to at least Seungwon, he should know... and he would be able to efficiently help.

That scene between the makeup artist and DP was GOLD
I for one, like how ambiguous it gets, and how you can read the situation either way (or have your kindness gets reverse-Uno on you as workplace harassment)

I agree because he seems to be one of the good guys caught up in the cross fire. Like most things in K-dramaland a brief use of words would have headed that whole thing off. Are you cold? Do you want to borrow my coat?

Yes, my third times watching the episodes 1 to 6. My first impression when I saw the first episode... okay, I am hooked.
The acting is excellent! The eyeglasses are phenomenon! Lol. Hey, admit it, you are planning to get those kind of glasses!
Anyway, I am watching it so many times to find some flaws... so, far none. It is executed perfectly, I hope till the end, whatever the ending is. The only beef I have when Deaum screamed at the neighborhood. It should be short, my opinion.
The sounds track it is perfect. I never stayed for the intro, but this one I do. Just the sound track is mesmerizing, including those scenes. Just use you imagination. It gives me the goosebumps.
Episode 7 is coming too slow. But I am waiting patiently.
Am I being too ambitious to compare it to Parasite, by Bong Joon-Ho's film??? Especially, I haven't seen the entire work of Lee Jung-heum... well, give me the beating if I spoke too soon.
See you then when it's over.

Just happy that I found something to enjoy genuinely. I haven’t seen any western movies. I love Korean conservatism. I pray they don’t get sway with Hollywood.

I love how the sound track is played here - like starting a scene, fading out and coming back. It’s not music to me but a fairy dance.

I have just finished ep.6 and oh, Jeha, you, cruelly drawing the line, were more talking to yourself and mainly hurting yourself than Daum. Because even if you are theoretically right, you could have chosen better words. But you didn’t. And again, your acts speak more than your words... your reading the articles, your searching for the hospital... you are so worried... and constantly keeping an eye on Daum (and ensuring she eats... and drinks her grape juice)... what unfortunately starts making others being suspicious.
I still have hopes for Seoyoung, her last question and Daum's tears somehow made me believe that she will protect Daum. (I don't want to be wrong!! 🙏)
What I don't think about Jaein and hate this selfish jealous former college definitely-not-a-friend. 🤨 Stay away!!

There is one thing I still want to mention - that the cameraman, who knows Jeha well, mentions Jeha's hidden soft caring side.

Although the premise of the series is a sad one, I'm kinda hoping for an unexpected twist that will give me a happy end. Further to that, did anyone notice that faint glimmer of hope when her dad mentioned something about a "clinical trial"?
