- We’re now just days away from U+ Mobile TV’s suspense-thriller Hunter with a Scalpel, setting up the chase between forensic pathologist Park Joo-hyun (Perfect Family), her murderer father Park Yong-woo (Tracer), and detective Kang Hoon (Dear Hyeri) in the newly released character posters. Coming to our screens on June 16 next week, the 16-episode novel adaptation will be streaming on Disney+ as well. [Newsen]
- June 16 will also bring the premiere of ENA’s Salon de Holmes, where Lee Shi-young (Sweet Home 3), Jung Young-joo (When the Stars Gossip), Dasom (Serendipity’s Embrace), and Nam Ki-ae (Blood Free) are donning their sleuthing coats to solve their neighborhood troubles in the newest poster. Following Tastefully Yours in the Monday-Tuesday slot, the mystery comedy has PD Min Jin-ki (New Recruit) directing with co-writing by Kim Yeon-shin (Secret Man) and Ahn Yong-jin (SNL Korea). - In a busy upcoming week, TVING is preparing to launch I Am a Running Mate on June 19 and has put together a new highlights reel to give us an extended peek. The youth series is notably led by Parasite‘s co-screenwriter Han Jin-won in both directing and scripts, with the student cast headlined by Yoon Hyun-soo (ONE – High School Heroes), Lee Jung-shik (Hyper Knife), and Choi Woo-sung (Chief Detective 1958), as well as Hong Hwa-yeon (Tastefully Yours), Lee Bong-joon (Resident Playbook, and Kim Ji-woo (Namib). - On tvN, teenage shaman Jo Yi-hyun (The Matchmakers) has a stockpile of talismans at the ready in the latest trailer for Head Over Heels, papering her first love Choo Young-woo (The Trauma Code – Heroes on Call) in yellow to protect him from a fatal fate. Adapted from a popular webtoon, the fantasy romance will unfold its tale on June 23, with PD Kim Yong-wan (The Whirlwind, If You Wish Upon Me) and writer Yang Ji-hoon leading production. [Newsen]
- In the meantime, lunch time continues on the promos for tvN’s Law and the City, serving up another yummy spread in the new posters and video teaser. Starring Lee Jong-seok (Big Mouth), Moon Ga-young (My Dearest Nemesis), and Kang Yoo-seok (Resident Playbook), in addition to Ryu Hye-young (Gangnam B-Side) and Im Sung-jae (Newtopia) as our foodie five, the office romance will be airing on weekends, starting on July 5. I hope Law and the City will have more food than Tastefully Yours just did!
Head Over Heels is looking adorable, as usual. I can’t wait for the 23rd and just hope it’s available somewhere!

Hunter with a Scalpel is rated MA-19 or something because of the violence/gore quotient. However, I ❤️Kang Hoon after Little Women and Secret Whatever Guesthouse so I'll have to watch with a heavy finger on the FF button. At least the premise/story sounds intriguing (Hyieri never drew me in.)

I love Kang Hoon since Meow: Secret Boy, but Hunter with a scalpel is exactly the kind of drama I usually don't watch. It seems too dark and depressing.
I prefer thrillers like Signal or Kairos.

I'm looking forward to Head over Heels because I love the actors. Fingers crossed!
I also want to give a try to I am a running mate and Law and the City (I'll probably wait for binge-watching it).

I love Jung Young-joo so much. She's fantastic in everything I've ever seen her in. I might give Salon de Holmes a try just for her alone.

My only problem with Law and the City is that it is very obvious they aren't eating, lol. So that part of it isn't that interesting to me. I am here for RHY mostly.

No. 5. tvN’s LAW AND THE CITY. Well it looks like Lee Jong-suk’s 2017 SBS drama WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING will have to be my last LJS drama for awhile since LAW will be available on Disney+ which is a no go for me.
That drama was the only one in the lot above I was interested in.
