Premiere Watch: Spring of Youth

Time slot: Wednesdays
Broadcaster: SBS
Genre: Youth, music, rom-com, coming of age
Episode count: 10
Global streamer: Viki, Netflix

Reasons to watch: Is a cute, music-themed, campus drama complete without a heart-rending second lead situation? I believe the answer is no. And the photo from the drama’s press conference truly sets up what’s in store for my heart. Starring Ha Yoo-joon as a K-pop idol kicked out of his group and forced to enroll in college, and Park Ji-hoo and Lee Seung-hyeop as the classmates he befriends… let’s just say my heart is ready (but also not ready) for cute puppies.

TL;DR: The drama will air one episode each Wednesday, except for premiere week where we have back-to-back episodes on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Both this and Crushology 101 strreaming on Viki at the same time.
Both have budding young actresses with a lot of potentials - i mean Park Ji Hoo was only 18 (!!!) when she did All of Us Are Dead - wow!
It will be very hard not to compare the 2 shows and the 2 lead actresses - fair or otherwise.
I have C101 on my watchlist, so will probably be watching them concurrently - hope they both turn out ok.......

I'm hoping this is as cute and heartwarming as the trailers promised. Please don't disappoint (I've had a few too many of those this year already).

Ooof, one episode per week sounds like a wait-then-binge situation. (With the added bonus that I might then already know if it’s worth it 🥳)
Seems like a low-stakes fluffy comfort watch to me. Sometimes that’s all you need…

I agree. I think I'll watch the first two episodes and then I'll wait and binge-watch the rest of the series when it's finished.
