Reasons to watch: It seems dramaland is still in its violence-to-end-violence era, as webtoon adaptation ONE – High School Heroes joins the ranks of Weak Hero and Study Group to tell the story of high schoolers who fight back after being mercilessly bullied. Our high school hero in question is none other than the adorable Lee Jung-ha, the token meek + smart transfer student (word to the wise: never transfer schools under any conditions if you live in a K-drama). He’s joined by Kim Do-wan, and together the two become masked heroes who take their high school fate into their own hands fists.

Study Group was bit too graphic for my taste, and I never finished watching it. Hope this one is bit mellower - but i will probably wait for the reviews. Think this is the fifth high-school themed show I have watched so far this year. At the end it may be a moot point, since I am not even sure if I can find a streaming channel here in Canada that carries it.....

US viewers, like with Kim Min-seok’s recent TVING drama SHARK 2: THE STORM I believe we are out of luck with watching Wavve’s ONE: HIGH SCHOOL HEROES on a legal stream.
I was interested to see how Lee Jung-ha (who I recall as Han-su in tvN’s THE AUDITORS (2024) (Viki US)) handled the physical (i.e. fighting) requirements for this role. I am assuming he put in some serious training.

I wonder if it would be on the more gruesome dark side like Shark, with lots of action but comical like Study Group or if it would be somethinf in between like Weak Hero. I've surprised myself as a fan of high school action dramas since like Weak Hero so I will watch. They are new faces for me but that way, I've been introduced to many many good actors (BAE NARAAAAAAAA!) so I hope they do well and get the chance to tell a solid story
