tvN has released photos from its script reading of upcoming romantic-comedy Second Shot at Love (previously Please Take Care of Geum-joo). The story follows an alcohol-loving heroine who reunites with her first love, which motivates her to begin a sober lifestyle.
Sooyoung (Not Others) stars as Han Geum-joo whose Korean name means “abstinence from alcohol.” While for much of her adult life, she did not live as her namesake, that all changed after her life started floundering because of her drinking. As a talented mechanic of ten years, Geum-joo realizes that she may have a problem and faces her issue head on.
Acting as a catalyst for Geum-joo’s change is Gong Myung (Way Back Love) as her first love Seo Ui-joon. He returns to their hometown as a medical specialist, choosing to forgo his high-paying career to come back. Known for his good looks and even more charming personality, he is nicknamed “God Seo.” However, Ui-joon has a strong distaste for alcohol, which causes him to clash with Geum-joo over their opposing opinions.
Joining the cast as Geum-joo’s parents are Kim Sung-ryung (When Life Gives You Tangerines) as Kim Kwang-ok and Kim Sang-ho (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard) as Han Jung-soo. Mom Kwang-ok is against drinking and pesters her family to stop while Dad Jung-soo loves alcohol as much as his daughter. Last but not least, Jo Yoon-hee plays Geum-joo’s older sister Han Hyun-joo who finds solace in a drink or two after a stressful day of childcare.
Directed by filmmaker Jang Yoo-jung (Honest Candidate) with scripts penned by Myung Soo-hyun (Monthly Magazine Home, A Poem A Day) and Jeon Ji-hyun (Ugly Young-ae Season 10), tvN’s Second Shot at Love is slated for twelve episodes and will premiere next month in May.

Omg, a drama that has alcoholism/alcohol abuse as an issue, this could be interesting.

Concept is interesting but being scripted by Monthly Magazine Home's writer does not inspire confidence.
