Ma Dong-seok, Park Hyung-shik
- KBS is said to be preparing for action and adventure this summer, resurrecting their prime time weekend slot to reportedly broadcast Twelve in August. Ramping up a superhero battle between angels and a crafty crow, the series stars Ma Dong-seok (Police Unit 38, The Roundup: Punishment), Park Hyung-shik (Buried Hearts), and Seo In-gook (Death’s Game), in addition to Sung Dong-il (The Art of Negotiation) and Lee Joo-bin (The Divorce Insurance) among a talented ensemble cast. [Ilgan Sports]
- KBS has also been busy continuing the promo workout for Pump Up the Healthy Love, bulking up muscles for fitness with a side of ~love~ between Lee Jun-young (When Life Gives You Tangerines) and Jung Eun-ji (Miss Night and Day) in the latest poster. Stocked and ready with unsalted and unbuttered popcorn (gotta be healthy-er of course) to watch from the gym sidelines, the sports rom-com will soon begin on April 30 next week. [Osen]
- For criminal profiler Kim Da-mi (Our Beloved Summer) and cop Sohn Seok-gu (Heavenly Ever After), it’s brains over brawn with Nine Puzzles to crack on Disney+, and they already have us parsing for clues in the crime-thriller’s new graphic poster. The 11-episode series will be releasing in a curious sequence on Wednesdays as well, kicking off with six episodes on May 21, followed by 3 episodes on May 28, and then concluding their mystery story with 2 episodes on June 4. [Sports Donga]
- Hopefully, we can then rest our muscles and our minds in SBS’s new posters for Spring of Youth, finding healing and growth through music as we follow the journey of Ha Yoo-joon (Namib), Park Ji-hoo (Little Women), and Lee Seung-hyeop (Love Next Door). Re-opening a mid-week drama slot for SBS, the campus romance will markedly be airing its first two episodes on May 6 and 7, respectively. Subsequent episodes will release once a week on Wednesdays thereafter. [Star News]
- Lee Min-jae (Kick Kick Kick Kick) has been added to the cast of ENA’s upcoming My Golden Star, playing the past younger version of our detective hero Song Seung-heon (Player 2 – Master of Swindlers) when he was an over-passionate rookie in his 20s, freshly starting out in his career. Also starring Uhm Jung-hwa (Doctor Cha), Lee El (When the Stars Gossip), and Oh Dae-hwan (New Recruit 3), the rom-com is planning to broadcast later this year. [Sports Kyunghyang]
- In the meantime, Lee Min-jae is heading back to high school with Park Ji-hoon (Love Song for Illusion), Ryeoun (The History of Losers), and Choi Min-young (XO, Kitty, Twenty Five Twenty One) in the newest stills for Netflix’s Weak Hero Class 2. Standing up against bullies, Yoo Soo-bin (The Perfect Deal), Bae Nara (Evilive), and Lee Jun-young (When Life Gives You Tangerines), the webtoon adaptation’s new second season will be launching this week on April 25. Gym Jam: Is that correct form while lifting heavy weights? The way she's holding them, makes it look like they're made of styrofoam, not metal. Or like there're two people out of frame propping it up while she lifts with her pinky fingers. The show is becoming more and more of a skip for me.
9 Puzzles: Poster is fantastic, and so intriguing. I hope it holds clues, that one can solve as the show progresses.
12: Looks good as well. I hope I can watch it to the end, since PHS' Buried Hearts is still on hold for me indefinitely.

You're right--her one hand is right next to the weight, the other is more toward the middle of the bar so its totally unbalanced. Plus if it had any weight on either end, her elbows would need to be more under the bar to support it.
But no matter! I'm sure overall the show will be a tutorial in proper exercise techniques that will leave every viewer more fit than when they began! But do you know where and if it is streaming in the U.S.?

According to MDL, this has been picked up by Wavve. If we’re very lucky, this means it could also be on Kocowa and/or Viki (which has picked up UHS very shortly before airing, too, if I remember correctly - which also was taken up by Wavve before 🤔). So: fingers crossed!
I have the feeling this could be too silly for my taste, but I’d love to be able see that for myself… 😅

Is that how personal trainer Lee Jun-young trains clients because where do I sign up? Jung Eun-ji doesn't need him anymore; she's already in shape.
Nine Puzzles' poster is love. It's like one of those find the hidden objects puzzles.
Twelve is on my watch list, but the weekends are going to be so crowded.

It looks a lot like it inspired by Edward Gorey. It reminds me a lot of the Gorey opening for PBS Mystery from the 90s https://youtu.be/4502MXkb-Dc?si=gIar-hp_nh5yPomB

Despite my bias against superhero genre - the discount fantasy for people ashamed to openly admit they like fantasy - I'll give TWELVE a chance for the sake of my darling PHS's first proper villain role. And he's playing an evil crow? Sign me up, I have a massive thing for dramatic bird boys!

And the summer is shaping up to have a bunch of shows to put on my list some are due to favorite actors being in them.
Twelve with Park Hyung-sik and Ma Dong-seok is a must watch.
Pump up the Healthy Love is worth trying. Oh but that title!~
Nine Puzzles is a for sure with Sohn Seok-gu and being a crime thriller!
Spring of Youth somehow caught my attention despite not liking many youth centered shows ,but maybe because of having a music theme.
Song Seung-heon can convince me to watch so My Golden Star is on my list too.
Weak Hero Class- I made myself watch the first one and it was really good despite not liking seeing kids being bullied so I'm up for the next season to see him kick some more behinds!
