by tccolb
- The first poster has dropped for U+ Mobile TV’s crime-thriller Hunter with a Scalpel (previously Dark Legacy), which will be taking part in FILMART’s (the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market) 2025 event this week. Expected to release on our screens later this year, the psychological horror is headlined by Park Yong-woo (Tracer), Park Joo-hyun (Perfect Family), and Kang Hoon (Dear Hyeri). [MBC]
- MBC is preparing a fluffier tale with new stills for the webtoon adaptation Crushology 101. Surrounding Noh Jung-eui (The Witch) with four cutie suitors wooing for her attention – Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy), Jo Joon-young (All That We Loved), Kim Hyun-jin (My Sweet Mobster), and Hong Min-ki (Study Group) – the lovey-dovey sparks will be beginning their flight on April 4. [MBC]
- tvN has new stills for us as well, showcasing the Resident Playbook’s still-green doctors: Go Yoon-jung (Death’s Game) and Shin Shi-ah (The Witch: Part 2). Spinning off the story to come from the popular Hospital Playlist series, the medical drama is set to premiere on April 12, also starring Kang Yoo-seok (When Life Gives You Tangerines), Jung Joon-won (A Model Family), and rookie actor Han Ye-ji. [MBC (1), (2)]
- Ahn Hyo-seop (A Time Called You) is in talks for a new rom-com on SBS, potentially turning farmer for Sold Out Today Too (working title, roughly translated). The channel is said to be considering the series for broadcast sometime next year, with PD Ahn Jong-yeon (Seoul Busters) at the helm and scripts penned by rookie writer Jin Seung-hee. [EDaily, iZE]
- JTBC released a lovely poster of Kim Hye-ja (Our Blues) and Sohn Seok-gu (A Killer Paradox), reuniting our leads in the afterlife to enjoy their Heavenly Ever After. With production led by PD Kim Seok-yoon (Behind Your Touch) and writer Lee Nam-kyu (Daily Dose of Sunshine), the fantasy’s heartwarming tale will be unfolding on weekends, starting April 19. This is great 4 out of the 5 look like they are my style of drama. I am hoping that there are other April watches to spread things out over the week. For months now it’s been tumbleweed rolling during the week and very busy weekends.

Let me guess: you are opting out of the psychological horror - just like me. 😅 (YIKES! That sounds absolutely terrifying. 🫣 As does the title!)
I’m most looking forward to RESIDENT PLAYBOOK, and will try to watch it without any expectations (I loved the original series).

Exactly! Life is scary enough without bringing that kind of imagery into your safe space.
Resident Playbook is the number one for me too.

First time I've heard of Hunter with a Scalpel, and I'm interested! This all-English poster must be for their participation in the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market. I love the cast and wonder if Park Yong-woo will be playing the hunter or a cop.

Kang Hoon is the cop, Park Joo-hyun is the coroner (with a secret past of course) chasing after dad (serial murderer) Park Yong-woo. The scalpel suggest she's the hunter, but there could be twists?

Thanks, tccolb! "Kang Hoon is the cop" -- even more reason to watch!
Although, I admit I misunderstood the title. I thought the titular hunter was referring to the serial killer who hunted and killed his victims with a scalpel. 😂

You could still be right, maybe the scalpel is Park Yong-woo's preferred tool 😂

@tccolb, I might as well dovetail behind you with,
Yoo Seung-ho, Kim Dong-wook and Seo Jung-yeon’s short (27 min.) film THREE DAYS will be released tomorrow Mar. 19.
The story takes place three days during YSH’s character’s mother’s funeral.

I am eager for Yoo Seung-ho’s return to kdramaland. I hope this short film eventually becomes available for us outside SK.

Is it just me or is Hunter with a Scalpel lowkey giving Hyper-knife vibes? 🤔

Ooh! What a lineup with a nice mix of bibimbap dramas.
Hunter with a Scalpel sure is an evocative title. 🙈😂 Guess that would take care of the "thriller" genre. While Crushology 101 and Sold Out Today Too can take care of "rom-com" enthusiasts. Of course the "melo" and "slice-of-life" fans have a double serving of Resident Playbook and Heavenly Ever After.
Q.E.D. There is a drama for everyone. Now all we need to see is that will there be a Beanie for every drama. 😅😂
