Park Eun-bin bids for Sol Kyung-gu’s demise in Hyper Knife
by tccolb
Tapping deep into her creepy side, Park Eun-bin (Castaway Diva) has her intense eyes set on Sol Kyung-gu (The Whirlwind) in the first poster and teaser for Disney+’s Hyper Knife, beseeching first to be his student before hoping later for his death.
Setting up their backstory, the teaser begins in the past when Jung Se-ok (Park Eun-bin) had approached doctor Choi Deok-hee (Sol Kyung-gu), pleading to become a student in his class. Deok-hee then learns from his colleagues that Se-ok is quite well known as the med school’s ace in neurology, but is also considered to be unusual.
Indeed, we next watch an unsettling sequence of our dark heroine and Deok-hee is alarmed to recognize aspects of himself in Se-ok – as well as the lurking monster within. The intermittent captions explain that our two leads are alike but very different, comparable to a double-edged scalpel – a knife that can save or end a life.
In the paralleling shots, we see Se-ok shrouded in shadow while Deok-hee stands between the light and dark. He then makes his ultimate choice to ban an irate Se-ok from performing surgery, taking away her medical license and ending her once promising career.
Fast forward to six years later, when Se-ok and Deok-hee meet again. Here, she gives her ominous wish that her old teacher would die soon. The trailer then leaves us with Deok-hee admitting to Se-ok that, “There’s a resemblance between you and me.”
With production for the medical-thriller led by PD Kim Jung-hyun (Crazy Love, Awaken) and writer Kim Sun-hee (God’s Quiz 5), Disney+’s upcoming Hyper Knife will be premiering next month on March 19.

I love this! I'm excited for this shift in story. Now I am gonna pray they maintain the plot that Deok-hee was right all along. I need that creepy side from start to finish.

Gosh, Park Eun-bin is a convincing villain. I do hope she's a true villain and not just a misdirection. Oooh! I'm getting shivers. I don't think I will be able to watch it live. Much like Evilive guess it would be better to hang out in the recaps and then binge later. 😅🙈😂

A butterfly tattoo on the nape of the neck cannot mean anything good in K-drama, can it. 🦋 😂
Sigh, the way I seem to be rewatching the promo only means I may end up live watching after all. 😳🙄

It looks dark (in every sens of the term).
I'm excited to see Park Eun-bin in this kind of role. It's nice to see her as a disturbed and crazy genius!

But But she's always been the cute little petite scrappy go getter---I might have trouble seeing her as a dark person---but she is such a good actor that it just might be possible! Its on my list for sure just to see what she can do!
