Episodes 1-2 were wildly entertaining. The show is zany, gory and even a tiny bit thoughtful, in the normal, “in a very real sense, aren’t we all already surrounded by zombies,” sort of way.

this was really good, the comedy was not over the top and the horor elements were still effective. everyone's acting is good and there are no annoying characters (so far).

I already know the cliffhangers are gonna kill me tho 😭😭 they should have released all episodes at once, this is a story made for binge watching

I liked episode 2 significantly more than I liked episode 1. I laughed alot haha

One thing that came to mind is that it actually felt like how people would react. Not necessarily ALL people but there is a certain amount or group of people who would just stand and watch or record as something crazy or horrific happened rather then run or call for help.

I don't know what to say about the people watching as the plane was coming directly at them. My first thought was it was due to shock; flight, fight, or freeze are very real reactions so I couldn't fault or judge the guys' response. However once again, there did seem to be folks who once the immediate danger passed were more focused on capturing pictures vs registering what that crash implies (death count, possible terrorism, etc)

I found it weird that a plane crashes in the middle of a busy area and a zombie outbreak happens and the opportunistic crime that comes to mind is sexual assaults. I don't even know how to feel about that. Just leap frog over the obvious robbery and looting.

I liked the manager (Aaron Park?) and whoever Alex is. I hope they survive until the end.

I hope the girlfriend is able to change into some pants.

Oh man, I don't want to be one of those who complain about the lead actress but so far, I'm just not into what they are doing with her. I know it's (probably) a me thing but I just don't like all the meek powerless damsel in distress vibes. I really hate that she's in a skirt while all this happening. I just keep wondering when she'll finally change into some pants.

I have to keep telling myself that it does make sense that people can't just automatically go for headshots especially when they're dealing with people they knew and spent time with. Even though I know that, I can't help but think "why are you being so stupid?!?!"
In this universe, the concept of zombies exists so people know what they are dealing with. They see people reanimate after death or severe injuries. They see people EATING people. After all that, they're still like "stand down" or slowly approaching the zombie in question.
Throw the zombies off the roof!
Sigh, but again, I get that it's not that simple or at least it shouldn't be to kill people they know.

Is anyone still watching and hanging out here? While I don't think Newtopia will make my Zombie Hall of Fame, it's entertaining enough. Only thing I can't figure out is why the soldiers are so darn dumb. It makes for some funny bits but it's probably the least realistic element of the drama. (Yes, the zombies are more realistic than the troops.)

Also, why is this a single episode a week drop now? Just why?
