Netflix announced the main cast for writer Noh Hee-kyung’s (Our Blues) latest series Show Business (working title, previously Slowly and Intensely), lining up some big names with Song Hye-gyo (The Glory), Gong Yoo (Squid Game 2), and Seolhyun (Light Shop), as well as Cha Seung-won (The Tyrant), and Honey Lee (The Fiery Priest 2). Directed by PD Lee Yoon-jung (Summer Strike), filming for the 1960-70s period drama recently began last month. [MBC]

In the meantime, Netflix’s Melo Movie is now just days away and a new bundle of stills have dropped ahead of this week’s premiere. Why, hello there Kim Jae-wook (Death’s Game). Headlined by Choi Woo-shik (A Killer’s Paradox), Park Bo-young (Light Shop), Lee Jun-young (Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale), and Jeon So-ni (Parasyte – The Grey), the romance will be launching on February 14. Also continuing casting news, Love Me now has Jang Ryul (The Scandal of Chunhwa), Yoo Jae-myung (No Way Out – The Roulette), Lee Shi-woo (Love Your Enemy), Yoon Se-ah (Sweet Home 3), and TWICE’s Da-hyun joining our central heroine Seo Hyun-jin (The Trunk). Adapted from the same-titled Swedish series, production is being led by PD Jo Young-min (The Interest of Love) along with I Haven’t Done My Best Yet writers, Park Eun-young and Park Hee-kwon. [Osen]
SBS confirmed that Season 3 is well underway for the crime-action Taxi Driver, greasing the wheels for another spin down vigilante lane later this year. With Lee Je-hoon (Chief Detective 1958) and Kim Eui-sung (The Trauma Code – Heroes on Call) leading our motley crew once again, the third installment will be bringing back Pyo Ye-jin (Dreaming of a Freaking Fairy Tale), Jang Hyuk-jin (Brewing Love), and Bae Yoo-ram (Crash) as well. tvN came out with a new teaser for the upcoming My Dearest Nemesis, where Moon Ga-young (The Interest of Love) and Choi Hyun-wook (Twinkling Watermelon) continue their toe dance over the line between love and hate. Helmed by PD Lee Soo-hyun (Delightfully Deceitful) with Kim Soo-yeon writing, the rom-com will be coming to our screens on February 17 next week. [KBS]
MBC’s Crushology 101 (previously Bunny and Her Boys) released stills from the first script reading, led by Noh Jung-eui (The Witch), Lee Chae-min (Hierarchy), and Jo Joon-young (All That We Loved). Slated to premiere in the weekend slot this April, the campus romance has PD Kim Ji-hoon (Check Out the Event) directing with scripts by Sung So-eun (Twenty-Twenty) and Lee Seul (Dear.M)[MBC]

1) I like the writer and the PD and almost all the casting. I'm not a big fan of Song Hye Kyo. But I'm curious how Honey Lee became the mother of Seolhyun, the difference of age is 12 years, she's too young to be her mum!

4) I didn't like the second season as much as the first one. Not sure I want a third one. But I love the music!

Because I feel like I have to watch it at once, I prefer you give it to me piecemeal, that way I have a chance to watch all my other shows as well. Some of these single drops take the whole day to watch.

Makes sense. Like portion control 🤗 I'm slowly starting to enjoy and appreciate watching a show weekly but also mindful how both single drops and weekly drops can be used to 'colonise' our time in different ways.

1. I generally avoid this particular time period dramas but I can't ignore Noh Hee-kyung nor the cast lineup.
2. Kim Jae-wook. Wow! This just got under my radar.
