Jin Ki-joo falls for Undercover High Schooler Seo Kang-joon
by Jenzy
The new teaser for Undercover High School shows our secret agent Seo Kang-joon (Grid) unwittingly catching the eye of his homeroom teacher Jin Ki-joo (Uncle Samshik) while on his mission.
We open on our history teacher Oh Soo-ah (Jin Ki-joo) out for drinks after a long day of school. She can’t help but steal looks at the hottie downing shots a few tables down, only to be horrified the next day when said hottie walks into her classroom and introduces himself to her as her student Jung Hae-sung (Seo Kang-joon).
While she is mortified at her inappropriate feelings and outraged at his underage drinking, we know Hae-sung is actually an NIS spy who was just having his last night out before his undercover mission. So you can forgive her for thinking he was an adult… because he actually is one.
While Hae-sung’s snarky quips and disregard for her authority may annoy Soo-ah to no end, she’s not the only one less than pleased at their reintroduction. Hae-sung now has to deal with a nosy homeroom teacher who is suspiciously watching his every move. In the voiceover, we hear his colleagues debate whether Hae-sung should try to avoid Soo-ah entirely, or “eliminate the problem” wink wink nudge nudge.
And things are only about to get messier. As we see a montage of Hae-sung and Soo-ah having some moments of forced proximity hijinks, it’s obvious there are growing sparks between them. Try as they may to slap or cold shower themselves out of it, it looks like their side quest to stay away from each other may be the hardest one yet. Will Hae-sung be able to keep his cover?
Written by Im Young-bin (Bad Prosecutor) and directed by PD Choi Jung-in (Knight Flower), Undercover High School is slated to premiere on February 21 on MBC.

I agree!! I wish it were on Viki, but Kocowa isn't that bad with the 24hours viewing section, so that's what I'll aim for 👍 This looks fun, and I hope it will be Fun!!

I don't love that she believes for any amount of time that he's a student. I must have misremembered the show description when it was first announced, but I thought the homeroom teacher was his ex, and so she'd know from the start that he was undercover. That would have been more interesting, I think.

I was thinking the same. In an article on Sompi " However, her world is shaken when she notices an uncanny resemblance between Jung Hae Sung, the new student in her class, and her childhood first love—the one who left her with a deep emotional scar.
I thought she recognized him since the beginning...

I hope she finds out he is an adult before ep 4/6. It would be weird otherwise.

It sounds outrageously silly and if they extend the "OMG I-want-to-jump-a-student's bones" more than a couple of episodes, the disgust factor might be too much. But I'll be there (hopefully on a platform I subscribe to) for the delightful Jin Ki Joo for a few episodes.
