Park Hyung-shik schemes revenge on Heo Jun-ho in Buried Hearts
by tccolb
The promos are now in full swing for SBS’s upcoming Buried Hearts, treating us to a new teaser, poster, and stills to ogle at our dark hero Park Hyung-shik (Doctor Slump) and big baddie Heo Jun-ho (Bloodhounds).
With a large political slush fund at the center of the crime-suspense, the teaser opens with the revenge-minded Seo Dong-joo (Park Hyung-shik) as he promises, “Just wait, because I’ll give it all back.” We then backtrack to when Dong-joo started working under chairman Woo Hyun (Seoul Busters), telling himself in voiceover to dream big because the chairman has no sons and the Daesan conglomerate is free for the taking. Never mind that there are two daughters – and a granddaughter – alive but apparently not kicking to be the heirs (insert eye roll).
Speaking of the granddaughter, enter Hong Hwa-yeon (Bora! Deborah) who already has a romantic history with our hero. But mom Kim Jung-nan (Serendipity’s Embrace) is not about to have her daughter carrying on with someone like Dong-joo and asks for him to be removed from Daesan. I’m guessing there’s more to it, though, because it’s not a matter of simply firing Dong-joo and Daesan’s son-in-law Lee Hae-young (Unmasked) reaches out to Yeom Jang-sun (Heo Jun-ho) for help.
Having been the mastermind behind much more powerful dealings, Jang-sun feels insulted to be involved in such measly work. But it’s too late for Jang-sun to back out and the situation only gets worse when Dong-joo begins his revenge plan by hacking into Jang-sun’s slush accounts. The teaser then comes to an end as we return to Dong-joo’s promise, “Just wait, because I’m coming to kill you.”
Directed by PD Jin Chang-kyu (Military Prosecutor Doberman) with scripts penned by Lee Myung-hee (Money Flower), SBS’s Buried Hearts is slated to follow Love Scout in the weekend slot, premiering next month on February 14.

I really like the black and white poster. Very artistic.

oglelook at here, *cough* or is it!?Meanwhile, bring on the ML villain era. It was a long time coming.

I didn't watch Dr Slump too, so with a great pleasure I can't wait for this drama too ☺️

Can’t wait to see PHS. It’s been less than a year since Doctor Slump (love!) but feels like forever. Hyungsikness!
The romance plot isn’t probably going to take much of the story but it still seems interesting based on the lines they showed in the script reading video.

Park Hyung Sik has tempted me into watching. I also like veteran Heo Jun-ho so I'll give it a shot.

Yes, Money Flower is unforgettable - the story, plot and of course, the acting of Jang Hyuk and Lee Mi-sook.

That's one weird chaebol family: there's no male heirs and female ones "don't qualify", so why not just take a promising guy
with genes as obviously good as PHS'sas in-law? Instead they landed themselves into makjangy mess of epic proportions, including but probably not limited to: bunch of crimes, huge money loss and bloody personal vendetta.P.S. I guess I won't be rooting for OTP with such premise - romancing a kid of your mortal enemies only works in sageuks, and even then it's such a hassle! Go get your revenge, boy, take the money as moral compensation and RUN!
P.P.S. Boys be looking GOOD here, both of them^^

I’m carefully trying to time all my dramas correctly so I have enough room in my schedule for this! Not sure PHS has actually entered his villain era yet, but might be a solid antihero and I’m here for it!

Maybe this is a warmup for Park Hyung-sik for SUITS 2.
KBS’s SUITS (2016) is my favorite PHS drama.

Excited to see PHS in a darker role. turn out his character in this drama has photographic memory (but seems to forget everything after surviving assassination). This is his 3rd character to have such ability. he must have been that convincing to play a smart character :) just this time, he is smart but unwise...
