Moon Ga-young takes aim at her dragon Nemesis Choi Hyun-wook
by tccolb
New promos have swooped in for tvN’s upcoming My Dearest Nemesis, putting our scorned Moon Ga-young (The Interest of Love) on a mission to uncover the dragon-in-disguise Choi Hyun-wook (Twinkling Watermelon) in the office rom-com’s new poster and teasers.
The first character trailer opens on our cutely lounging heroine, sprawled out on her bed as she journals and daydreams about love with a goofy grin. But when Baek Soo-jung’s (Moon Ga-young) thoughts turn to her first love, the mood quickly sours and her eyes harden at the sight of the little dragon intruder.
For some context, our two leads were once in puppy love, having met online as gamers “Strawberry” and “Black Dragon” in their youth. But whatever happened afterwards is now our Strawberry heroine’s most embarrassing past and Soo-jung has been hoping for a new romance to erase the bad memories. Cue the sly grins of our benevolent drama gods because guess who shows up at the office as Soo-jung’s new boss?
Returning to the teaser, Soo-jung first takes aim with her fingers at the avatar of her first love-turned-enemy. The scene then transitions to the workplace, where she levels her gun at our hero’s desk. Revealing her suspicions that the new boss is him – Black Dragon – Soo-jung’s new goal is to conquer and destroy, resolving to figure out the truth surrounding Ban Joo-yeon’s (Choi Hyun-wook) double life.
The next trailer takes us straight into said dragon’s den, where Joo-yeon is meticulously dusting his collection of figurines. This is his true passion and he’s dressed in his true gamer form. But he explains that this side of his private life is not approved needed in his dictated path to become the perfect chaebol heir.
Our hero thus hides his dragon tail and fangs behind his Clark Kent glasses, triggering the transformation in time to lead the executive meeting at the office. Facing the camera as the teaser closes, Joo-yeon expresses his determination to fully prove his worth as the conglomerate’s next successor.
Helmed by PD Lee Soo-hyun (Delightfully Deceitful) with writing by Kim Soo-yeon, tvN’s webtoon adaptation My Dearest Nemesis will be following The Queen Who Crowns in the Monday-Tuesday slot, premiering on February 17 next month.

I also like her gorgeous cream colored suit. 😉
Will it be enough to carry this drama though? The jury is still out. But maybe this offers just the right level of silly has-been-done-before escapism I am craving right now.

The dragons are too cute to miss! I hope they carry that theme all through the drama! I'll start this and hope it is as cute as the dragons are. And she does look gorgeous in the cream suit!

I like the two his and her teasers. Both Choi Hyun-wook and Moon Ga-young seem perfectly cast. I am sure the production will not miss the opportunity to make official merchandise. The black dragon with its purple eyes and the cutest little smile is really the best. 😘🖤💜🐲
