Lee Jun-hyuk chases after Han Ji-min in Love Scout

How cute! The first teaser of SBS’s upcoming healing romance Love Scout is all about setting a cozy mood between our two leads Han Ji-min (Behind Your Touch) and Lee Jun-hyuk (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard).

There’s only three lines of dialogue in this teaser, but it already gives us a good look into the dynamics between our star headhunter CEO Kang Ji-yoon (Han Ji-min), whose skill is only matched by her sharpness, and her gentle secretary Yoo Eun-ho, single father and empath supreme, as they start to rely on each other.

We open in vintage cinematic fashion with a title card of the drama’s name before jumping into the action. Amidst the busy sidewalk outside of their work, Ji-yoon bids Eun-ho a distant good evening, one that he reciprocates in equal professional fashion. They both clearly have more to say to each other, but after a beat of awkward silence, they both turn their separate directions to go home.

But in the middle of walking away from each other, the two end up taking turns to stop and look back while the other person continues unknowingly: first Ji-yoon, then Eun-ho, and then Eun-ho again, this time with a pensive expression.

After walking for a block on her own, Ji-yoon decides to turn back one last time … to find Eun-ho right behind her. He caught up with her because he had to ask her the very important question, “Do you want to head out together?” to which she responds with a delighted smile of her own.

I like how this teaser already hints at the foundations of Ji-yoon and Eun-ho’s relationship. For someone as stoic as Ji-yoon to open up, she’ll need someone like Eun-ho who can read a room and take initiative when things are left unsaid. It’s all very cute and sweet, and I can’t wait to see how the two end up depending on each other.

Written by Ji Eun and directed by Ham Jun-ho (My Strange Hero, Payback) and Kim Jae-hong, SBS’s Love Scout will premiere on January 3.

Awww, this feels like a sweeter, much less dramatic version of "One Spring Night" (right down to the slightly opaque colour grading).

Definately adding to my list

More than anything, I’m anticipatory about seeing his Lee Jun Hyuk is going to go about this empathetic single father role. Is he going to tug and squeeze at my heart the same way that Jung Hae In’s single father role in One Spring Night did? And— keke— both dramas happen to have Han Ji Min as the FL

Is he actually being marketed by the drama itself as an empath? If so, I can't watch this, lol

Not really loving the hair styling and costume design seen so far... it's hard for me to imagine Han Jimin in this kind of role so I'm really worried, sigh.
