The first stills have been released for MBC’s new romance, the cool wind bringing Lee Se-young (What Comes After Love) back to Motel California and reuniting her with first love Na In-woo (Marry My Husband) in addition to dad Choi Min-soo (Numbers). Slated to air on weekends in January 2025, the romance has PD Kim Hyung-min directing with writing by Lee Seo-yoon (365 – Repeat the Year). [MBC]
SBS will be bitten by the new year love bug as well, freeze-framing the charged and hazy moment for CEO Han Ji-min (Behind Your Touch) and secretary Lee Jun-hyuk (Dongjae the Good or the Bastard) in the new poster for Love Scout. Also airing in the weekend slot, the rom-com and office series will be following The Fiery Priest 2 on January 3. [SBS]

A new series called Climax is reportedly in the works with filmmaker Lee Ji-won (Miss Baek) attached to write and direct. Currently in the early stages, production is angling for an international streaming platform and has been busily doling out casting offers, courting Ha Ji-won (Curtain Call), Joo Ji-hoon (Love Your Enemy), and Oh Jung-se (Mr. Plankton), as well as Cha Joo-young (The Real Has Come) and Nana (Mask Girl) to potentially join the lineup. Park Bo-young (Daily Dose of Sunshine) is in discussions to star as our unlucky heroine in Gold Land, somehow entangled in both romance and a murder case involving gold. Production is being led by the duo behind the film Rampant, PD Kim Sung-hoon (Chief Detective 1958) and screenwriter Hwang Jo-yoon (Memoir of a Murderer, Masquerade). [Star News, Top Star News]

In the meantime, both Joo Ji-hoon and Park Bo-young are preparing for the grand opening of Disney+’s Light Shop, featured in the latest batch of stills before the mystery-horror’s premiere on December 4 next week. The series also stars Uhm Tae-gu (My Sweet Mobster), Kim Min-ha (Pachinko), and Shin Eun-soo (Twinkling Watermelon) among many other talents. [Sports Donga]
Netflix will be delivering a different type of thrills, luring Lee Jung-jae (Chief of Staff, The Acolyte) back into the fold for Squid Game 2 in the newest poster and official teaser. Park Bo Young seems like she needs to be in two places at once, but I prefer her in Light Shop because kangful

I predict Squid games will be another overhyped mess that EVERYONE watches and all the beanies will be like “why???”

Wow! The casting for Climax brought things to a huge climax. This kinda combination is a lot.

1) I thought we already got an unhappy Lee Se-Young in What Comes After Love... The stills of Na In-woo weren't better (not enough of the cute dog). Where is Choi Min-soo? I really liked 365 - Repeat Year by Lee Seo-yoon, so I have hopes.

2) I liked this poster and the stirrings of this drama!

3) We will finally get the pairing Ha Ji-won and Joo Ji-hoon!

5) I'm really intrigued by this drama and I like the casting.

Oh these all sound so good, except for Squid Game as I didn't watch the first one. So happy to see Joo Ji Hoon busy! Looks like 2025 is gearing up to be busy already and its not even here yet! +_+
