- A new poster has dropped for MBC’s upcoming crime-thriller Doubt, cruelly pitting criminal profiler Han Seok-kyu (Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim 3) against his secretive daughter Chae Won-bin (Sweet Home 3) as he tries to unravel the murder mystery at hand. The 10-episode story unfolds on October 11 next month, with PD Song Yeon-hwa (Wild Boar Hunting, The Red Sleeve Cuff) leading production alongside writer Han Ah-young. [MBC]
- Seo In-gook (Death’s Game) has been busily fielding offers for his next project and is considering a romance called Monthly Boyfriend, potentially opposite Blackpink’s Jisoo (Snowdrop) who is also in talks. The series is currently in the planning stages with PD Kim Jung-shik (No Gain No Love, Strong Girl Nam-soon) attached to direct and scripts penned by a rookie writer in their debut project. [ Star News]
- The pretty continues on Coupang Play’s What Comes After Love in the latest posters, reuniting Lee Se-young (The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract) and Sakaguchi Kentaro (Beyond Goodbye, Dr. Chocolate) under the clear yet sad blue skies. Helmed by filmmaker Moon Hyun-sung (Seoul Vibe, The King’s Case Note), while also collaborating with Jung Hae-shim on the scripts, the romance will be launching on September 27 this month. [MBC]
- Promos have broken out for Netflix’s movie Uprising, with a new poster and teaser combo showcasing frenemies, Kang Dong-won (The Plot) and Park Jung-min (The 8 Show). Releasing on October 11, production for the action-sageuk has Kim Sang-man (Midnight FM) directing with scripts notably co-written by Shin Chul and filmmaker Park Chan-wook (The Sympathizer, Decision to Leave). [SBS]
- It’s laundry day in JTBC’s newest poster for Family by Choice, delegating chores to our siblings trio: Hwang In-yub (Why Her), Jung Chae-yeon (The Golden Spoon), and Bae Hyun-sung (Miraculous Brothers). Airing on Wednesdays starting October 9, the coming-of-age romance also stars the family’s two dad: Choi Won-young (Hierarchy) and Choi Moo-sung (Your Honor). [JTBC]
- Also joining the poster party, SBS released character posters for The Judge from Hell, which has Park Shin-hye (Doctor Slump) and Kim Jae-young (Love in Contract) headlining the fantasy. Tasked with a mission from the underworld itself, we’ll be following our heroine’s devil-branded justice journey on September 21 in the weekend slot. [SBS]

I wonder whether Monthly boyfriend will keep that intriguing title. That’s the only future watch of interest to me.
I am wondering now, with this set of posters for What comes after love, if I should brace myself for a series of snap shots similar to the film Past lives and the drama Twelve nights in its style of storytelling. I liked both of them but they were not what I expected when I started watching.

UPRISING - a must-watch for some of my favorite film actors and directors. 😍💃
I love me some Park Jung-min and Kang Dong-won action. Kang Dong-won with a sword (katana) and messy man-bun is one of his signature styles in action sageuks.
I think the great Park Chan-wook is supporting his art director from "JOINT SECURITY AREA" as the producer for this film.
Although the Imjin War has been done to death from Korea's perspective, watching SHOGUN provides insight into how it began from Japan's side, which is rare.
Anyway, I'm seated!

Oops, it's a Korean Hwando, not a katana.

Park Chan-wook co-wrote Uprising!?! It’s now a must watch - and I’ll watch it anyway for Kang Don-won’s return to drama.

1) The family diners will be awkward if she's innocent...
2) SIG is back. I'm still waiting for a good drama with him, the last ones were meh.
3) The more they promote it, the more it looks sad.
4) I hope we will be able to see something, scenes at night became difficult to watch lastly.

1 - is he profiling his own kid? Doesn't sound ethical... or legal.
2 - what did SIG do to deserve this?!
4 - saw a trailer earlier, looks decent. Not sure I can stomach some Imjin war stuff rn tho... Had a hard time recognizing KDW - was it a hot minute or beards are really magic?
6 - the way it looks like vampire teen romance webdrama...

I'm genuinely fond of the man, but wtf is going on with his career lately? He wasn't in a watchable (for me) drama in ages. And now THIS... Ouch, just ouch.

Family By Choice - can we also choose not to get these weekly drips of information!? It only makes the wait all that more longer. 🤣
