If you want a good family drama with lots of heart, this is it.
If you want a mature and healthy—but cute, portrait of a romantic relationship between adults, this is it.
If you want to see a healing story and some lovely character development, this is it.
If you just wanna have fun, this is it.
This isn't a masterpiece, but the quality is good. The team behind this knew what they were doing.
Such a charming and heartwarming drama.

A simple little family drama. Decent dual love stories. Very watchable. But the focus was on family and healing. Did I FF through a lot? Yes. But that is because the humor didn't really appeal to me. But, the family moments were nice. 5 out of 10.

Short, sweet, solid.
This is a family drama, focused on healing and redemption of past regrets and wrongs, with 2 generations of romance sprinkled in (I say sprinkled, cos the romcom is an auxiliary feature to the primary focus on family).
Drama explores facets of family dynamics seldom seen in K-dramas (at least I haven't) in surprisingly nuanced and perceptive ways.
Think: Vibes of a weekender (but without the makjang and meanderings) + some romcom.
It sets out to do what it said it would do, and delivered without over-selling (unlike another show next door). On that count alone, I give it an 8.
One tiny gripe: Change the title pls (Romance in the House is kinda misleading).
Maybe call it: "How did President Byeon Get Rich?" (ok, even more misleading) 🤣🤣

Original korean title Family x Melo(drama) was apt. English title maybe Familyville(because its about 'gajok villa'), Family Affairs, Modern Ties...

That show next door will harvest all the beans of disappointment/shame that were reserved for The Impossible Heir. I guess it will harvest even more than any show had harvested in that title before.

A nice drama with a cute secondary couple, but the mystery plot took too much time.
