Premiere Watch: Perfect Family

Time slot: Wednesday-Thursday
Broadcaster: KBS
Genre: Family, mystery, thriller, crime, drama
Episode count: 12
Global Streamer: Viki

Reasons to watch: Summer thriller, coming in fast! The always-good Park Joo-hyun plays the adopted daughter of Kim Byung-chul and Yoon Se-ah, and these three may or may not form the “perfect family.” Indeed, all seems perfect from the outside, but maybe not from the inside… On top of that, there’s a high school storyline with the currently-ubiquitous Kim Young-dae, Lee Shi-woo, and Choi Ye-bin. And on top of that, we also have L in a mysterious guest role, Yoon Sang-hyun in a support role, and the famed Japanese film director Yukisada Isao at the helm.

TL;DR: With this cast, it’s sure to be a fun watch… if you like your summers with a side of Japanese-style thriller

This is not my usual genre, but the cast is fire, and the promise of L sold me. I'm going to try the first one and see how long I can hold on 😅 (*Hello, stress!* 👋)
