I never know how to start haha. It's moments like these that I admire the recapper. Even though I'm not recapping the episode, it's hard for me to find the words to express my thoughts sometimes.

Anyhoo, on to the episode haha.
The first thing that comes to mind is Squid Game. I instantly thought it's a rich guy who enjoys the chaos of poor/desperate people debasing themselves or harming others for entertainment.

I wondered how the names end up on the roulette in the first place but then I thought maybe it's better not knowing since it adds to the mysterious vibe of the masked man. I assume it will be revealed at some point but right now, it's not something I'm very concerned about.
Theory: the folks on the roulette have some sort of connection to the masked man; maybe they've wronged him and this is payback.

Such talented actors particularly the target of the moment. I've seen him in other things (though I don't remember where) but even in character, the guy is a good actor. Actually, he is manipulative and cunning. The way he faked his remorse and apology just made me feel so icky but it also made me wonder if, in universe, people actually bought it (which led me wonder about real life apologies).

15 years for a serial rapist and murderer, serving 13 of them, just feels so very wrong and short. It's so annoying and frustrating how little women are valued that that was the type of sentence he got.

And then an officer having to get injured protecting him feels even more like a cosmic injustice

Our masked man is almost portrayed in a god-like, all-seeing manner. I'm thinking about the drone scene with all of the cameras attached. Also, he has a way of mysteriously tracking down people. He obviously knew, for example, that the mother of the murdered woman attempted to kill Kim Guk-ho at the convenience store because he left a case of money at her home. Granted, he probably would know the identities of the family of the victim, but how did he know that she attacked Guk-ho that night? Was it covered in the news? If so, how soon after the murder attempt was it covered? I do wonder if and how the names on the roulette table are connected to one other. Will we get to see the other names?

When he left money, I just wondered how she succeeded in killing him since I thought the police officer shielded the target and got the only successful hit.

It very much likely would've gotten media attention because of not only the high profile but there were live streamers. The news could've been picked up the story from them.

Yes, I guess there would have also been live coverage. I was just wondering how soon after the murder attempt he sent the money. Sometimes, with dramas, the timeline of events can be a little unclear.

After watching kdramas, I would be terrified to ever part with money because of the liklihood of it being a scam. I don't even know how I feel about the "free" money at the stadium. A part of me thought it made total sense that people would flock for the opportunity to get free money but then I thought it's also kinda crazy to put yourself in such a potentially dangerous situation for the chance of some money.

Once upon a time, I thought that I wanted to be a lawyer but then I became disillusioned with it. Episode 3 is one of the EXACT reasons I became disillusioned: the fact that a lawyer has to help or advice gross, unrepentent, and vile people (who sometimes aren't even worthy of being called "people").

A lot of episode 3 made me kinda uncomfortable and I think that's just a testament to the actors. The guy playing the lawyer has moments when he does look uncomfortable dealing with the target but he's also got a job to do.

And then it's just the cosmic unfairness of other people having to be hurt to protect that creep. I wonder if it will be "satisfying" if anyone actually succeeds at killing him or will it be a moment of "all that loss and for what".

I wonder if anyone will find this show or this hangout now that thecshow is over. I don't know if it was a successful drama or if people were even watching it.

I didn't know what to say about this. It was kinda predictable but also forgettable. It was kinda frustrating and yet seemed on brand for other shows that I've seen featuring police.

I think one of my main takeaways was that it's disheartening. Not the fact that people would kill someone over money but just the lack of consequences or even thought for those affected (which is honestly realistic).

To get 1 guy, numerous people ended up dead or severely injured and yet there's no particular remorse. Some annoynance by the masked man and performative outrage from the public but from the main cast? Not so much. Just collateral damage for their own means

The lead cop/detective lead to the rookie cop's death and it was NEVER even mentioned! There's no mention of her disappearing, no mention that she was sent to that location BY HERSELF. She was just expendable and her only crimes were listening to a sunbae and actually trying to do her job. I think this situation annoyed me out of the whole thing.

I kinda assumed the masked man's identity because why else would this guy be in the cast?

I didn't have any strong feelings or reactions to his form of revenge. I can see why he would do it and again, it's a result of women and girls being devalued in society. Perpetrators of violence against them just do not seem to get fitting punishments especially in this world.

I suppose the title was fitting.
