Definitely happy to see Connection getting the numbers! One of my most favourite dramas of this year. Ji Sung is definitely a rating puller.
Crash is now officially the second highest rated drama for ENA! Well done. As for Missing Crown Prince, I am glad to see that this drama is able to gain some numbers (almost a 5%) and even beat its rivals, Atypical Family and Romance at Hagwon.

I wonder if Crash gets the ratings because it has great team dynamics and underdog themes alongside car chase scenes. Therefore, it may appeal to a wider audience than some of the other shows.

As for CP, it has a very good plot, and if you do enjoy a good saeguk (that combines thriller, politics and romance).

Missing Crown Prince has a solid plot that has not gone off track yet and we're 18 episodes in with only the final week to go.

I am really enjoying Missing Crown Prince. It is well acted and a tight story, not to mention the gorgeous scenery and costumes. I am really surprised at Suho's acting also. He is so believable in this role. Crash has my full attention also! Course I love Lee Min-ki so its good the rest of the story is also keeping me occupied! Connection is another really good drama. Ji Sung is one of those actors who can make a drama take on a life and live it with me totally involved.

I meant to add that I agree with you about the costumes... they are particularly stunning in this drama. I think they had to amp up the metallic paints on the fabrics so they really shine in all the low lighting scenes. It's quite beautiful!

I think MCR has improved as it’s gone along. Or maybe just that my enjoyment of it increased once I recalibrated my expectations to palace melodrama instead of romcom. That said, I did get a chuckle out of the Wol’s forearm admiration in Ep. 18 and the instrumental snippet of Voi che sapete that seemed to accompany it.

I am so happy to see Crash doing so well. I wish there were ratings for Uncle Samsik, although I wonder whether Koreans are interested in a fictionalised version of this turbulent time in their history.

I am so happy for Crash and Connection. Both are very good police dramas but with different vibes.
Connection is poised to hit double digits next week. The story is heating up. Ji Sung has his A-game on.

In SBS’s CONNECTION we have both Ji Sung and Jean Mi-do are on their A-Game. These characters have history together back in the day (high school). So even though they haven’t been in touch over the years there is no need to waste time for them to try to understand the others emotionally. JMD’s character had a great line at the funeral parlor. She told JS’s character she was leaving before another former high school buddy (which we hadn’t met) arrived. Paraphrasing, “I can’t (or not in the mood) for his ‘excitement’ tonight.” No need to explain to JS. He got it.

The show is doing a great job is capturing the high school friends who lost touch dynamic. Amongst all characters. Nothing feels off.

Jeon Mi Do is amazing in her role too.
I can relate. If you have known someone and been with a group of friends in high school, you already know each other's quirks.

I wish The Atypical Family would have gotten more love, but at least its finale ended on a high. It's my favorite drama of the year, and Moon Woo-jin is the heartthrob of the year. (Byeon Woo-seok who?)

I dropped it long ago with the thought I would binge through it once complete. But after reading mild spoilers, I don't have that kind of time to waste.
However, I came across Moon Woo-jin's instagram over the weekend and there was a brief montage of the dance scene so between that and your "heartthrob" comment, I will go back and watch the scenes with the kids.😊

You'll love the dance scene, especially the heart throbbing words Jun-woo (Moon Woo-jin) says to Yi-na (Park So-yi) before the dance scene. 😍

Woo hoo!! Look at those ‘Connection’ ratings!! I am loving this show and so happy to see that ratings are soaring. Won’t be long to hit double digits. No surprise because Ji Sung always brings in those ratings.
Crash is doing quite well. I like the show. It has heart. I love the team.
Hagwon could do better. But it’s a tough subject to handle and keep audience engagement.
So far it seems like it’s going in the right track with no angsty stress portions in sight. Let’s hope that continues.

It seems like numbers are actually down as a whole for the shows on Sunday- or is that my imagination.
Our weekender BEAUTY AND MR ROMANTIC is not getting as much love as it deserves- but this may reflect the weekend as a whole- MISSING CROWN PRINCE is a fairly good Sageuk but is not getting the numbers I would expect. But maybe my expectations are too high. In any case BVMR is moving right along story wise so it is not because of boredom.
Is CONNECTION really that good?
At least CRASH is doing well.

I had a thought here, based upon how much I have been enjoying DREAMING OF A FREAKING FAIRY TALE which, as a streaming only show, would never appear in these ratings: Is it possible that the weekends are being impacted by the streaming shows, which can be viewed when people have their leisure time? (Note: there are actually ratings services for streaming content but that is not what we see in this article)

Most streaming platforms do not release ratings numbers similar to network Nielsen numbers. Streamers use various strange metrics like minutes watched, viewers who watched a couple minutes of a show, etc. since their audience does not watch a show at the same time.

The numbers probably mean less on a streaming platform where hundreds (Viki) if not thousands (Netflix) of shows are probably viewed on any given day. Netflix and Viki do show the top 10 shows each week/month, which is somewhat informative. Sometimes Netflix will show the top 10 Asian shows, but I'm not seeing it today.

It depends whether you like the action thriller genre and the cast for Connection. And yes, so far the comments that I've read from Knetz are mostly positive about the drama, especially when it comes to Ji Sung.

Yes Connection is. And there IS Ji Sung you know! All the actors are holding their own and doing a good job with a hard story line. (IMHO)
