In what’s starting to look like a cast-wide reunion, PD Kim Seok-yoon (Behind Your Touch, My Liberation Notes) has been busily courting his past talents to join him in his newest project, currently called More Beautiful Than Heaven (working title). Following news about Han Ji-min (Behind Your Touch) this past week, who remains in talks, offers are now out to Sohn Seok-gu (A Killer Paradox) and Lee Jung-eun (A Bloody Lucky Day) to star in the series as well. PD Ahn Pan-seok (The Midnight Romance in Hagwon) has been a busy bee as well, already preparing for his next drama, The Art of Negotiation (translated title) on JTBC. This time, though, the main relationship is said to be a bromance with a lawyer Kim Dae-myung (Hospital Playlist) reportedly confirmed to act opposite M&A expert Lee Je-hoon (Chief Inspector 1958). The promos continue on tvN with a new group poster for the upcoming crime-action Player 2: Master of Swindlers. With Song Seung-heon (Black Knight) and Oh Yeon-seo (Cafe Minamdang) leading the pack, the second season’s con game begins on June 3, together with Lee Shi-un (Bad Prosecutor), Tae Won-seok (Bloodhounds), and Jang Gyuri (Cheer Up). Cha Hak-yeon (Castaway Diva) is considering the role of a journalist turned YouTuber in Labor Attorney Noh Mu-jin (translated title), potentially joining Jung Kyung-ho (Crash Course in Romance) and Seol In-ah (Twinkling Watermelon) in the lineup. Production is still in the planning stages with filmmaker Im Soon-rye (The Point Men, Little Forest) at the helm and writing by Kim Bo-tong (D.P.). [Xports News]
tvN announced production for Potato Research Center (translated title), with Kang Tae-oh (Extraordinary Attorney Woo) and Lee Sun-bin (Boyhood) headlining the zany rom-com. Slated to broadcast in the early half of 2025, the series will have PD Kang Il-soo and writer Kim Ho-soo collaborating again, having worked together previously on Solomon’s Perjury and Rookie Historian Gu Hae-ryung. MBC’s Bittersweet Hell came out with an intriguing poster and video teaser, gathering our black comedy’s leads: Kim Hee-sun (Remarriage & Desires), Lee Hye-young (Big Bet), Kim Nam-hee (Chicken Nugget), and Yeonwoo (Numbers). I loved Han Ji Min in BYT, so looking forward to her next project too.

Oh wow. PD Ahn Pan-seok is on his next project??? A non romance drama would be great from him.

I really hope the second season of Player doesnt suck because the first one was an absolute gem, also does anyone know why OCN stopped producing original dramas?

For fans crime/action oriented Kdramas, their abscence is definately felt.

I do hope Cha Hak-yeon's character is still a journalist, without the socioeconomic constraints affecting his practice.

Son seok gu with han ji min and lee jung eun? Sign me up. The light in your eyes is a gem. I liked PD KSY and his dramas. He tends to cast his previous stars as well. This is exciting.
