This is a drama that mixes comedy capers with revenge and chaebol politics, love lines with divorce cases and tops it with a couple of murders/attempted murder. It remains true to it’s formula throughout so if this sounds like your kind of watch you will enjoy it.
It’s a 5 from me because I came for the comedy and love line and it got progressively darker which is not a good fit for me.

This drama's production team seems to have been trying to be clever and to play around with the traditional FL/ML/2ML/Villain characterizations so standard across K-dramas.
The ML (Kang Ki-young) was written much more like a 2ML. The villain (Oh Min-seok) was written much more like the ML. The FL (Lee Ji-ah) was written like a lead female character in a revenge drama--which is what this show is--but her love was available solely to her son (not in a creepy way, but in a very exclusive way).
The experiment didn't really work well, IMO, as the actual plot did not stand up to the demands of these switched-up traditional characterizations. And so, I can't say that I'd recommend spending 12 hours on this drama, unless you're doing it for a K-drama class and want to think through what they were trying to do along these lines and why it did or didn't succeed.

I watched this because I like Kang Ki-young. I was disappointed. If you like Kang Ki-young and wish you could see him in the ML role, this is not your show. He was wasted here, as indeed were many other familiar actors I usually enjoy. The concept wasn't bad and the first episode opened promisingly, but the show did not deliver.

I would steer away. This is 12 hours of my life I could have spent catching up with more interesting dramas. I am happy for the rating it got in S Korea only because KKY might benefit from it (I doubt it though).

This 2024 (2023 🤔) drams cemented a theory I've had: drama makers are pulling us back to the days of silliness and frustration in dramas. I was doing great without all that.
Good plot, lacking execution. It's definitely not bad, but fix those things and we'd have a perfectly enjoyable watching experience. That is all 🫡
