Premiere Watch: Daily Dose of Sunshine

Time slot: Friday (single drop)
Broadcaster: Netflix
Genre: Medical, human
Episode count: 12

Reasons to watch: Netflix’s next series is here, bringing the webtoon Daily Dose of Sunshine to life with Park Bo-young, Lee Jung-eun, Yeon Woo-jin, Jang Dong-yoon, and more. Giving us an inside look at caring for patients in a hospital psychiatric ward, the story follows our heroine as she adjusts to a whole new world of patient care. Promotional material for the drama has hinted at an interesting approach here, with elements of magical realism bringing the characters’ mental states and emotions to live-action life. This should be a good counterbalance to the heavier/darker side of things, and I’m hoping the drama indeed delivers the dose of daily sunshine we all need.

TL;DR: Park Bo-young tries to bring sunshine to her psych ward patients

That cast is enough to bring some sunshine to me. ☀️

Oh! I didn’t realize this was an actual Netflix original, in that it would all be released at once. That’s certainly not a release schedule that I have time for right now 😬. I love the cast and I love the idea though, so it’s on the list for as soon as I finish something else.

I am always a little wary of kdramas depicting mental health issues. I hope the show does it well.
I love the cast so it’s definitely a GO! nice to have a Fri/Sat drama. I could use a dose of sunshine 🌞

this looks promising. I read some where that the director based the illnesses depicted in the show on his cast, crew and family's personal struggles.

I watch so many shows that this drop it all at once works for me. If I really like it, I can zip through it quickly while keeping up with the 2 times a week shows. If a show is too slow (one episode a week) sometimes waiting til the episodes are almost all out then marathoning it works for me. Otherwise I lose track of the show unless it is exceptionally keeping my interest.

Nope. I love the cast, but this genre and premise... I'm already torturing myself with one medical show too many atm, two would be clearly overdose, binge or not!

I didn’t even read the post. All I need to know about this show is that million-dollar smile on Yeon Woojin. Also everyone else in that press call photo. Whatever this is, it’s exactly what I need after finishing the relentless darkness of Worst of Evil last night.

Definitely not my genre and I wouldn't bother except. . . my favorite (Yoo In Soo appears at some point.

Oh gosh.. I didnt plan to watch this but once I hit play I liked it. It helps that PBY and YWJ are here, both of whom I like.

Am I the only one puzzled by the outfit and lack of polishing on the actor on the left? (sorry I'm sure what his name is)
For all discussions on Sung Hoon jacket size, this one clearly lacks a stylist or someone to adjust his tie.
