Lee Na-young takes day trips in Park Ha-kyung’s Travels

The first teaser for the upcoming slice-of-life drama Park Ha-kyung’s Travels starring Lee Na-young (Romance is a Bonus Boook) just dropped, and from its soft colors and atmospheric tone, it looks to be a cozy watch.

The teaser centers around high school language arts teacher Park Ha-kyung (Lee Na-young) who finds herself lecturing to a classroom full of bored students more interested in their phones than her lesson. After a frustrating call with her father, Ha-kyung wishes she could disappear, so instead, she departs on a one-day trip.

Her goals for these excursions are simple: walk, eat, and daydream. We catch glimpses of Ha-kyung’s activities as she narrates, “If I don’t go anywhere, I don’t think I could stand it, but at the same time, I want to do nothing.”

The omnibus drama will focus on different people Ha-kyung meets on her travels, highlighting old and new relationships as well as different locales across Korea. The drama boasts an impressive cast of special appearances, and with Lee Na-young at the helm guiding this story, we are definitely in for a treat.

From the teaser, we see her enjoying tea with Seo Hyun-woo (Behind Every Star), marveling in a museum with Gil Hae-yeon (Strangers Again), sniffing pinecones with Sunwoo Jung-ah, crossing paths with Gu Kyo-hwan (D.P.), visiting an art gallery with Han Ye-ri (Hometown), sharing a secret with Jo Hyun-chul (Inspector Koo), and nodding along with Shim Eun-kyung (Money Game).

Breaking the typical drama format, Park Ha-kyung’s Travels is slated for 8 episodes with an approximate 25-minute runtime for each. Hopefully the director’s choice to break the mold will result in a cute and contemplative story about people, place, and healing.

Directed by Lee Jong-pil (Samjin Company English Class) and written by Sohn Mi (Samjin Company English Class), Park Ha-kyung’s Travels will premiere on May 24 on Wavve.

It looks nice! I have hopes it won't have a murder in this one.

I'm not convinced by her haircut otherwise...

The stylised or blunt bob also makes me think of Amélie Poulin’s and Yumi’s hairstyles. It’s quite a commitment for the actors who don’t normally style their hair this way!

Awww. I am liking what I am seeing. And the format is perfect. I like that we get to see different locales of Korea.
Also, it’s Short and sweet so wouldn’t suffer from unnecessary plots.

I don’t particularly care for her hair.

I want to see it because this is the opposite of me who doesn't travel well, so the hassle of travelling offsets any joy I may find from 'being there'. If only I could be anesthetized and wake up at my destination.

so relatable. just like I do. started during covid bc satying home alone was hard but all the county buses were empty. they are free or cost pennies. I have been everywhere now except some places that are only accessible by car. You can see my adventures in eddiesmoments on Instagram. or my fox´s adventures
it is a really good way to relieve tension and anxiety.
wonder if she keeps a blog?

This gives me very slice-of-life vibes, kind of in the style/vein of how they do slice-of-life in Japan. I'm very interested in watching this one.
