Sehun’s retro vibes in All That We Loved

Gearing up for their premiere next weekend, TVING’s youth romance All That We Loved has released some retro character posters that are too cute for words. So cute you almost forget this drama features dire health conditions in addition to deep friendships and wistful first loves.

Starring EXO’s Sehun (Now We Are Breaking Up) and Jo Joon-young (Idol: The Coup) as two high school besties that love to bicker, early teasers have gone heavy on the breezy vibes — friendship, summer, basketball, and the new girl at school — rather than the fact that when Jo Joon-young’s character needs an emergency kidney transplant, his friend (Sehun) rises to the occasion.

The drama’s full trailer, though, gives us more context on that, and luckily it looks like the story will take a lighter touch. After all, we see the boys reunited and goofy as ever after the surgery, and the real question at hand is: We never had the same idea type before… Have you heard of cellular memory? That’s right, folks! They’ve both fallen for the new transfer student — played by Jang Yeo-bin (Our Blooming Youth).

As for our character posters, they’re adorable. Sehun’s character wonders if he has to choose between love and friendship (God forbid), while Jo Joon-young’s says he now has a new interest besides studying and his best friend. As for the object of their shared affection, her thought bubble says that in a boring world, they made her laugh.

Directed by PD Kim Jin-sung and written by Kang Yoon, TVING’s All That We Loved premieres on May 5.
