So I guess the show won't be covered in weecaps.
Well, I liked this week's episodes though I think there was definitely alot of suspension of disbelief involved haha (then again, all action involves needing to suspend disbelief).
I love how you see how each team member is integral to the operation. I love how far people were willing to go on faith alone.
Madam Lim and Wang Tao Chi are kinda hilarious haha
I'm kinda mad that I have to wait each week for new episodes but I'm too impatient to wait for the series to end and binge it.

The Madam Lim and Wang Tao Chi romance was the best bit about season 1 and I am pleased to see them back, but am also afraid that it might be overused now. I like to see Je-hoon in many more disguises.

So again, this is not being covered. What exactly is the criteria for a show being covered because this wasn't covered even in season 1.
Anyways.....
Would have loved to see more interactions of Wang Tao Zi and Madam Lim. At this point I don't know if she wants to kill him or not. And it looks like the team has gotten on the radar of someone very dangerous. It seems the Chairman/Dirty Cop answered to someone much higher than him, so there is probably another Big Bad out there that the team doesn't know about yet, but he now has Do-ki in his sights.

I couldn't stop laughing at how without the rest of the team, not everything worked right, like the garage door not opening and the van not starting and the way the triumphant music cut out at the moments. The operations aren't exactly a well-oiled machine without the entire group. And although they were successful in their other jobs, they didn't look truly happy until they were back together.

I had a moment of disbelief as I though that this drama would not be recapped, but I see that we feared in vain.
I loved the beginning of S2.
Not sure I shall call a drama about revenge with torture scenes heart-warming.... but... I do.
Almost all of the first 15min were as satisfying as the fan-service ending of Alchemy of souls 2. (= very)
I love how they explained why and how they all came back, the call-back to Esom's role and Madam Lim.

I enjoyed S1, but I relunctantly entered S2 thinking I will get worn by the action scenes and serving-justice scenes, but turns out I am not and am looking forward to more. Though the case for the 1st ep was weird, it was a good way to set up the continuity of the characters into S2.

Apparently, the original writing team came back for the second season. That explains why they quickly wrapped up the Go Eun-police officer & have-hope-for-legal-system plotlines.
To be honest, I found the first episode slightly messy and thought that the opening sequence on finishing the Nth room case was unnecessary. However, thinking back to it, from the emotional standpoint, it makes total sense to start with something that in Korean society invoked similar feelings that the clients of Deluxe Taxi feel. To enjoy this show you NEED to hate the current legal system.
As for the second episode, I loved the comeback of Wang Tao Zhi and the random Wong Kar Wai directing style in his scene. Hopefully, the show will not focus too much on the sniper plotline. The show is at its best when the team is working on selected cases.

This season continues to be entertaining and I am enjoying the different proxy shows and characters that the team plays to get the baddies. With the game and services purchase using the elderly identity, I am assuming there is a bigger gambling den at play which the team will crack down.

So I didn't really get the case of episodes 3 & 4. It's some kind of credit card/phone scam that targets lonely elderly people. One thing I thought is that it weaponized shame and guilt with the elderly victims. Still I don't really get it. Plus the villain seemed to have some animosity to the elderly. In another universe where he's more of a character, I bet it would be revealed that his grandparents did something that, maybe the were victims of scams or just bad with money, that led to him being resentful and money hungry.
While I didn't particularly get the case, I found the episode(s) entertaining. Episode 4 in particular looked like they were having fun. I did laugh many times at the use of annoyance as psychological warfare.
And the idea that the guy is just going to obsessively dig for however long and maybe get blown up by landmines is a weird one for me but whatever. Still an unexpected move and I enjoyed the disguises used during the case so I'll focus more on that in my memories.
The way the new guy finds the entrance to the HQ is a bit forced but what can you do? No real reason someone would and could stumble into an underground batcave.
I'm getting so nervous about the sniper/the guy behind the sniper targeting them! The sniper was already going to kill the corrupt cop so I'm wondering what's going to be reason used to target the Rainbow Transport crew.
I think the sniper is gonna to infiltrate them by approaching them as a client. Oh I'm so nervous! (Unless the new guy is already a part of the sniper's team then I think it's targeting them from 2 sides)

The fact that they are okay with the trot singer blowing up is indeed disturbing. Getting him crazy and poor would have been enough.
I do not know what to think about the new guy. He doesn't know to drive well. What is he doing in a taxi company ? Why is he here ? I hope he is a red herring and will be innocuous.
The photographic surveillance is more worrisome. Why are they looking for Kim Do Gi ? Is it army related ? (and the reason for the meeting at the begginning of ep 3 ?)
The gearing up in the taxi-cave is totally unnecessary but so good. I'm absolutely okay with this fanservice. And so exited for the next storyline with a Do Gi - Ga Eun wedding. This teaser has double effect.

Same, my headcanon was that it was a fake mine and the guy will just stand there for ages losing his mind as punishment, cause otherwise that is really extreme. Still loving the show but it was weird how nonchalant they were about someone blowing up.

I also assumed when watching that it was a fake minefield and that Do-ki came up with the ruse as further psychological punishment. I don't believe that he would have planted actual mines there. Can't recall the team killing any criminals in the first season if they could help it, and real land mines could hurt innocent people as well. It wouldn't have made any sense to plant them there.

Actually Do Ki did not plant the mines. Since, he was in military he knew that red flags meant mines, so he just found a place with mines and faked a treasure hunt map with that location.

The first four episodes, for me, have felt lighter than S1. It's more tongue-in-cheek and laugh out loud, although I'm anticipating this will change in the next couple of episodes as they enter the "real" plot (but that's kind of a shame).
Sorry to have to say it, but there's got to be a link between new driver on the block and the sniper. I really, really, really don't need Shin Jaeha to do yet another adorkable-nerd to murderer turn in a drama, but I have a nasty suspicion he's going to be on their team to turn traitor at the 11th hour. These cases are making me feel so dumb haha
I didn't get the credit card/phone scam thing targeting the elderly (eps: 3 & 4) and now I'm not understanding this housing thing specifically targeting newlyweds. Why only newlyweds with bad credit or limited funds? Can't single people also want homes and have bad credit/limited funds? And what does that have to do with holding kids captive?! Why would you need to hold kids captive in order to put them on flyers? Also is it fair to say these kids are orphans?
I was so annoyed ep 6 didn't air and I was just left in this state of confusion for another week.
I did like the way the kid ended up becoming a client. I thought it was cute and more organic that she would runaway (since she has trust issues) and stumbled upon the HQ leading to her overhearing them and giving her more reason to trust & open up to him.
The cringey lovey dovey decorations and Do Ki & Go Eun's reactions to it made me laugh and snort. It perfectly captured "what the hell?!" confusion with a touch of "why" haha
Oh boy, I really don't have a good feeling about the new guy. Between the way he tried to find the HQ (which to be fair would probably pique anyone's curiousity) and the fact that he lives under Do Ki, it all feels suspicious to me. Even if he isn't with the bad guys, he still must have some kind of vested interest in the Rainbow Transport crew because otherwise why even add him to the series?! Is he going to turn out to be undercover for some agency?
I'm looking forward to Do Ki beating up the bad guys and how they find & save the kids.

The link between the kids and the housing thing has not been explained yet.
My guess is that the baddies organize for the desperate newly-wed to virtually adopt kids to increase their points on a scheme. What they do with the kids is not known yet either. Maybe some kind of organ harvesting ? (in which drama was it ? There is global human exploitation in The devil judge, but I saw a drama where orphans were collected for organ replacement. I just cannot remember the title at the moment.)

I think it would be easier for newlyweds for legal adoption rather than single person. And if they are not financially capable, they`d need other ways to qualify for mortgage.
In Korea there might be some form of financial assistance from government or requirement easement from banks regarding downpayment of apartment if they adoptod kid.
I remember child abuse case happened few years ago. Poor girl died in abuser hand. She was adopted by abuser and they used her to purchase that apartment

[ep 5]
Are they becoming slopy in their operation ? They forgot to coordinate and forge their couple story. For a team that excel at forging new identities, this is seriously lacking. I mean, even the newbie deceiver in Love to have you took 5 min to agree on their couple backstory. Or maybe we can argue that as a lawyer, she is accustomed to forging stories with her customers.
I love that Pyo Ye Jin has more action in this season, even if she is still quite the schtroumpfette.
The new guy is way too suspicious. He took Go Eun attention away from the photographer in the car. He purposely rent the flat under Kim Do Gi.
So, is he too suspicious so that we the audience knows he's bad ? Or is he a red herring (so not subtle and not in accordance with the crafting of the rest) ? I cannot make up my mind.
And where are the other employees ? This maknae cannot be the only other driver if they want to have a company running. They cannot close everything when they go on a case. The logistic require a heavy dose of disbelief suspension.
Am I the only one that was asking for a sniper shoot at the bad guy when he was looking for the little girl between the taxis ? The surveillance could have been helpful.

I thought they did it on purpose because why wouldn't they coordinate their couple story? That is messy to say the least because the cursory questions were fairly basic "how long have you been together?" "Do you have money?"
Maybe the idea was try to see which comments the mark responded to.
I don't think they are doing organ harvesting, at least not with this case, in part because they did it in S1.
I find it interesting that S2 seems a bit lighter in tone yet the criminals seem to have even more intricate plans. The credit card/phone scam was about gaining trust over a period of time and then some how leaving them on the hook for debt or crimes.
This somehow involves trafficking kids through some kind of real estate thing using predominately newlyweds.

Regarding new guy, he didn't seem evil in himself (nice to the little girl and all that). But like you said, he distracted Go-Eun's mind from the photographer.
I'm guessing - purely a guess - that he's working for some sort of bad people now because he had to survive that bad childhood they hinted on somehow.
However, it seems he's warming up to the team, so maybe he'll switch sides soon?

He is actually the bad guy in another drama that just finished airing, that's a coincidence that has an effect on how we see him here...
I still have a small hope that all these suspicious acts are red herrings. Since when is a big bad person introduced with no doubt? It cannot be so straightforward, no ? Ok, this guy is all but straightforward, and for now only at the periphery.
Well done regarding the suspense, show.

How does government aided housing systems work in SK? It seems ridiculous that low income families can get an apartment with a river view when it was initially mentioned that they can only buy it if they were born with a silver or golden spoon. Also, the rule of having kids to gain credits over others in the housing queue seems absurd because it would mean that the kids were birthed just to get a commodity, bot to mention possible child neglect and abuse.

The SK government spends a fortune on subsidies in order to encourage people to have more kids (SK has the world's lowest rate of kids per woman - ~0.8).
Don't know about river view or property purchase, but I did read about big families (e.g. five kids) receiving significant rent assistance.

Episodes 6
Oh this real estate guy is a particular type of evil bastard. I'm not sure if I ever wanted Do Ki to beat up someone more.
But once again, I thought a) these cases are making me feel so dumb and b) it really does seems like the cases are more layered/complex than S1. I can't remember the "worst" cases from S1 but a random case is the illegal videos. It was a fairly simple crime: take the video -> sell the video -> video was stored on off site server (and other techy stuff I don't understand).
This real estate guy, maybe it's just as simple as the case above but to me it was alot, he had pregnant women (I guess they were in bad financial situations) give up/sell their newborns to him -> had random couples claim to be the parents -> used the babies (turned kids) for family photos -> then the couples got apartments -> then he took the apartments back -> then he sold off the kids in illegal adoptions (I think that's what happened). Meanwhile the kids are stuck in horrendous conditions and are emotionally, psychologically, physically abused repeatedly. The couples end up accomplices who still don't get the houses/apartments they wanted.
I liked how Go Eun has no poker face and how both she & Do Ki could barely keep their contempt for these people under wraps. Just once again reinforces why all of team rainbow work well together.
I wasn't a fan of her saying "Do Ki comes first!" after witnessing the kids being taken away AND Do Ki explicitly saying "the kids come first; chase the van". I get that was a very human and realistic reaction especially given they could actually *see* he was in a burning building but I was still a little disappointed in that moment. (It's funny how there's always a part of you, or maybe it's just me, that always wants people to consider the more heroic route even though that can be counterintuitive or even sacrificial. I know it's not realistic and there's probably no nuance to heroic characters who instantly choose the "right" thing but yeah, all this came to mind when she said that)
Surprising absolutely no one, the new driver really is just doing some kind of undercover recon on team rainbow. I don't know what to think or expect because why did they have him say Do Ki's line about tell him about [their story in detail] (or whatever he says)? Is this guy on the payroll of someone who suffered due to the rainbow crew? Will this have some connection to S1 such as the organ trafficker, her sister, or an associate of hers hired this guy to take them down? Still, seems like alot for a sniper to just kill people so there must be more to this especially if they'll go as far as pretending to be clients or work at the taxi company.
I did think the real estate guy was gonna die smothered by smelly trash so I was surprised and confused that he just shows up as a homeless vagrant in a tunnel. I don't know what is going on with these villians' endings. One guy is...

So the very suspicious guy is some sort of chaebol investigating the rainbow team ?
Why is he involving himself ? He has minions driving the taxi for him, so why did he take the apartment under Do Gi ? Why is he interrogating the real estate villain himself ? He knows a lot : he was singing the trot song of ep 1 scammer in his car (take the elevator, not the stairs...)

I wondered whether season 2 has officially decided that anyone who knows trot songs is evil (just the thought of it makes me laugh: trot is evil, support the Korean economy with K-pop or be arrested on the spot)
We never saw the trot scam gang getting in touch with any boss. They looked very independent to me. So, perhaps, the only way our new villain of the season might know is because he was spying on the team...?
I don't remember seeing the symbol in season 1 but it might have been in the first case of season 2 (there was a lot to take it, so I'm happy to believe I could have missed it)

Episodes 7 & 8
I did wonder how they could possibly save someone from a cult and I thought the plan and execution was pretty cool (though it was also one of those "suspend my disbelief" moments" haha). Interestingly enough, I thought this had such parallels to the phone phishing scam in that it seems *SO* obvious to an outsider that something is wrong or that these are scams that it almost makes it hard to sympathize with the victims.
Can someone tell me the trick of clearing the water with a wave of his hand? I thought that was a cool way of roping in the cult members.
One thing that I'm liking about the second season is the punishments *do* feel weirdly fitting to the crimes. Even though the perpetrators are left free (as in not arrested/imprisoned) they are still affected by the rainbow crew's actions while losing the things they hurt others to gain.
Once again, it seems like the bad guys are going to die but I guess that's not what happens so where is the shipping crate going? How long are they going to be in there?
I don't understand why the loan sharks were demanding more money if the sister had already paid back what the older sister borrowed. That feels like a scam too. By their logic, wouldn't the borrower ALWAYS be in debt to them? And what happens when they can't pay back the ridiculous interest? Ugh, money stuff scares me.
At first I was a little bit disappointed that New Driver's gripe against them turned out to be about money but then I thought, yeah, that actually totally makes sense haha
What faster way to piss people off than to affect their money? And then it wasn't even just one source of income but two. Maybe he's also intrigued by them; could also be a bit of a cat & mouse appeal too.
It was surprising he/his group were the overlords of the other criminal rings. They seem like such separate operations and it makes me mildly curious about why they decided to get into those specific operations when they're already doing whatever land/real estate/hotel thing they have going on; then again, tons of rich people have different revenue streams that seem/are completely different from each other. I also thought it was somehow going to be revealed New Driver was involved with the evil real estate guy too.
Their conversation on the roof makes me so nervous! I can't tell if Do Ki is on to him or not.
What can the one dollar lawyer possibly be doing in this show?! I just had to laugh when I saw him in the promo for next week. Is he going to be complaining about a fare? Is he moonlighting as a taxi driver? Offering services in exchange for the brown noodle dish?

I've said it before, I'll probably say it again but man these cases seem weirdly layered. As if it wasn't gross enough that unqualified people were performing surgeries but then it's happenes in the past and only a slap on the wrist?! Seriously? Then not only that but to have healthy elderly people have surgeries just to line their pockets and destroy the files. I seriously can't with how gross these criminals are and once again it's easy to be disheartened by how the legal system failed the victims.
The trailers got me. I thought New Driver and his organization were going to pretend to be clients and try to get to the Rainbow crew that way so I was a skotch surprised when he said getting them "their" way just involved a brute force assassination approach though once again, fitting with the rest of the season, it's quite fitting.
The show, at least how I'm seeing it, keeps framing New Driver & Do Ki as foils; as if it weren't for New Driver being involved in hurting the people Do Ki helps & saves, they could be considered 2 sides of a coin. Maybe I have it wrong and that's not what the show is doing.
It really does seem that way to me though haha. New Driver keeps saying how he knows Do Ki best and if the circumstances were different, I'm fairly certain he would want Do Ki on his crew. I don't know why he took those items from Do Ki's house (I don't even know what one of those items was; was it a keychain?) but he does seem to hold a certain interest in Do Ki that he didn't hold for the others. Is it because Do Ki is the front man/face of their cases? Is he most aggrieved because Do Ki specifically beat up his people?

I'm curious about the Namgoong Min cameo. First he actually appeared and then the one dollar lawyer magazine cover was used. Is this some kind of hint for a future second season?

Totally agree. The different cases are fascinating - this weeks villain has no empathy or humanity or remorse or guilt for what she did and is doing to the poor patients. Nuts!
They kept it ambiguous but I really want to know if Do Ki actually hurt the doctor or was just really scaring her.

I prefer to believe that Do Ki only scared the doctor. Hurting her would put him on the same side of the line as On Ha Joon and all the other vilains.

He took the whistles. One army whistle and the plastic one that Do Ki bought when he asked kids to blow it a few episode ago.
The bad guy is now aware (I hope not fully) of Do Ki trauma and weakness.
Was there a whistling sound in the car after they lost communication ? I'm not sure.

You don't necessarily need to watch the first season to understand the second *however* the second season does build on the first. Example: there is a character who returns from S1 and the reason she acts the way she does and the reason Do Ki was able to bank/rely/assume she would act that way was established in S1.

[ep 9 & 10]
These were high octane episodes ! I have not been stressed this much in a long time.
I reached peak worries when Do Ki was on the operation table. How can he accept a general anaesthesia just for an investigation ? That's crazy. By contrast, I'm startled by the taxi explosion but I have faith in the plot armour. They cannot kill him, or cannot kill him now.
More than a cameo, we got a cross-over in these episodes with One dollar lawyer in person, tweed and sunglasses and on the cover of the magazine.
Cameo are quite frequent, but cross-over are rare. I only think of two others. First Kim Soo Hyun in Crash landing on you, with his role from Secretly, greatly. (I credit Dramabean recap for this knowledge, for I didn't know KSH when I watched the drama) Second, Moon Ga Young and Kim Dong Wook in their Find me in your memory roles in Shooting stars. (again without Dramabean I would not have known)
Is there other drama cross-over ?
In this week episodes, I saw scenes or parallels to other dramas as well.
The pen almost in the eye is a move that Go Mun Young performed on a journalist in It's okay to not be okay.
The superhero entirely relying on his hacker partner who follows his every moves on her screen... it's Healer and his Adjuma.
And when the team goes with a huge microphone to record the sound of the wind in the meadow grass, it is a scene from Another Miss Oh.

When I saw him as a patient, I really did think "wow, talk about dedication" haha. If it weren't for the real patient complaining, who knows how that operation have been called off. Maybe Go Eun would've hacked into the electricity (but then could she hack into a specific room?). Anywhos, he still ended up getting cut and that was some crazy commitment haha

I wonder if other beanies share my feeling : is there more situation plan / geographical info / paysage view in this drama ?
We were served with views of the Vietnam city in the first episodes, real views and not microsecond montage as Istanbul is shown in Reborn rich.
This week in ep 9&10 we had a meadow on the East coast, but also views of the taxi company courtyard and of the entrance of the big bad pavilion serving as scene transition-introduction. Such large plans without characters are rare in kdramas. Or am I making a confusion with cdramas, that have lots of close-ups ? (but cdramas have panoramic views of the city corresponding to the end of advertising pause maybe)
What do you think ?

I don't know if this is the case but I wonder if at least part of the difference in S2 is that it doesn't have as many "inspired/based on true events" cases. I don't remember how many cases in S1 were inspired or based on real cases but *because* they were based on real cases, it makes sense that alot more gravity and seriousness was taken when filming or writing the scripts.
That aside, I think everyone was still kinda stuck in their traumas and by the end of season 1, they had, for the most part, found some closure. Because they had closed that chapter in their lives, they're able to be lighter in S2.

I forgot to mention this but I don't know if it's because I've been conditioned to see ships by years of tv watching but I really don't want a romance to happen between Do Ki and Go Eun. I just want them to be close friends bordering family like the rest of the team but I keep getting the feeling there is a crush right underneath the surface.

This is probably a weird thing to mention but I really like how good the characters are acting in character such as when they do the different undercover personas or in this week's case, mourning at a funeral. I liked that they showed different types of mourning which were still believable to New Driver (I guess I should start calling him Manager Oh. Eh, I'll do it if I remember).
I wasn't surprised that Do Ki survived but I was a skotch surprised that he was able to just on with business as usual. He was still using his name, he was still the one who had to infiltrate, and he still ended up beating people in front of others.
I thought the way he was taken out of the room in order to avoid a run in with Manager Oh was cool. A petty coworker no less haha. As if that woman wouldn't realize they switched numbers. "Oh we'll just switch and I'll make an impression" only to be met with abject rejection.
I've said it before but once again I felt like Manager Oh is supposed to be the other side of the coin to Do Ki and seeing that fight scene was just further evidence of that to me. If Do Ki wasn't able to able to channel his anger, aggression, and violence into specific villians as well as the positive, supportive family that is the rainbow crew, he could be like Manager Oh. I might be exaggerating but I kinda think if Manager Oh knew the whole situation, he would view Do Ki & himself as Batman & The Joker. Hell, even I think that might be a tiny bit of their vibe. Manager Oh is/was fascinated/fixated on Do Ki in particular, he was disappointed the "game" was over, his does those sinister smiles, and he vented his anger/frustration over the loss of his "playmate" by beating up someone who had an item of Do Ki's in his mouth (I once again don't understand why he took those items from Do Ki's place let alone put it in someone else's mouth) probably using him as some kind of mental substitution.
I saw that there's some speculation that this Black Sun club arc as well the celebrity is inspired by the Burning Sun thing and Seungri. I don't know or really understand the particulars about that scandal especially since I think it was mixed up in some chatroom scandal thing but if it is based on it, that's hella interesting timing considering Seungri just got out like a couple of weeks ago.
But seriously, I feel like that club is the example of ALL the things wrong is society and all it did was make me wish it were next week so I could see Do Ki beat these people up.
I find it funny/ironic that Manager Oh brought this place, with *ALL* its different crimes to their attention all because he was curious how a taxi driver brought down some of his other side hustles. Now, hopefully, the rainbow crew is going to dismantle his whole organization or at least his faction of it. I like when characters are unwittingly the instigators of their own doom.

Understatement of the year by Kim Do Ki : "I'm a better driver than you".
It was fun to see that no one in the rainbow team knows how to dress to go clubbing. They are all dorks. Cute, even if a bit of recon should have given them clues...
We now have a designation for the big bad boss the bishop who is yet to be seen. His lieutenants show dissension... with Manager On/ Kim Jae Ha free style getting more violent.
The level of corruption is already high, but I have a feeling that it will be revealed to be much worse. I hope that there will be another case and not only this big one for the remaining episodes.

As I said before, I don't know too much about the Burning Sun club & Nth chatroom cases but if any of the aspects of the cases featured in show are based on reality, the perpetrators (*cough cough* the idol *cough cough*) didn't get enough punishment. In the show, I still don't think he got enough. Seriously, what is with the world that (recreational) drugs are the bigger problem compared to sex crimes?! The drug dealers get life imprisonment and the sexual criminal idol gets 10 years? When he ALSO drugged the women and assaulted them? Even though I always imagine being in prison/jail is like a weird time warp, that's still not enough punishment for the harm he caused numerous women to me.
I wasn't a fan of the journalist saying the rainbow crew's actions weren't fair but I felt better when he said it was just. I get that realistic we're supposed to agree that the methods used aren't fair but ugh, the situations aren't fair! The more I'm writing & thinking about it, the more frustrating it is because what are people supposed to do when *everyone* betrays and violates you out of their own greed and self interest? You can't trust the police. You can't trust yourself because you've been drugged so the memories are fuzzy. You can be framed for taking bribes and have your name sullied just for trying to tell the truth. These things feel so very realistic to me (even though I know this is fictionalized & considered fantasy) and I didn't realize how affected I was about this until I started writing about it. I think the rainbow crew does somewhat even the playing field in terms of "fairness" but it makes me wonder what is more important: a fair world or a just world?
Do Ki always says if the world, people, or the law were better, people like him wouldn't need to exist.

Regarding Manager Oh & Bishop, they are some cutthroat adversaries. The moment I had been anticipating (and dreading) happened when Bishop got in Do Ki's cab.
Maybe it's just me but I was not expecting Bishop to actually be a member of the clergy. I think there differently is some allusions and messaging here regarding someone behind so much evil & harm is parading around as someone others go to salvation, comfort, and guidance. Actually, as I wrote that, I realized he is doing that same them but for the underworld. I'm seeing a bit of a connection with that cult case a few episodes ago.
About the actual episode, I guess these over arching themes are what's standing out to me more. Like of course it was cool how they outsmarted him and were able to bring down those 4 criminals especially the corrupt police officers but it's also the more fantastical to me. The fact that *just* enough people drank the drugged alcohol, that officers would throw Manager Oh under the bus in front of that lady, the fact that lady would cause a huge fight which gave time for the police to arrive. It's next another instance of having to rely on people to act a certain way for the plan to work.

Action and stress, in a good way.
Very satisfying episodes with most of the baddies facing trial.
Shin Jae Ha was chilling when he shoved a dark glance at his rival (top policeman in the bishop organisation).

The new cop out trend for villians in Kdramas seem to be falling from buildings and committing suicide. Sigh! Did not expect it from a drama that always had creative scenarios to fool the bad guys.
Apart from that this season finished in style and I loved Moon Chae Won's cameo more than Kim So Yeon's guest appearence. As much as some of the scenes were unbelievable, the show was consistent in its entertainment and for this sole reason, I would be glad if they have a plan for S3 in the pipelines sans the potential loveline between Do Ki and Go Eun. No, let them just stay siblings/friends/colleagues! They do not have enough chemistry for being a couple, except for laughs.

Agree with you on all fronts! Shin Jaeha must be getting good at falling off buildings... However, I was pretty much convinced that the realisation he had been played into murdering his own father would be enough for turn him against the priest, so I took that as a win. At the end of ep15, I wondered if they were going to try for a redemption arc with him and was wholly against it considering the number of people he'd killed and the manner in which he'd done so. One episode would never have been enough to land that ending. So I was fairly satisfied that he'd realised he'd been used, realised he was never really satisfied with the path he took in life, but ultimately had to pay for what he'd done. Yes, it was simplistic and sledgehammery, but I was happy enough.
Do Ki and Go Eun as a couple - no, just no. What do the writers think would be added to the whole set up with two of the crew as a couple? It would only make Do Ki more twitchy - "Don't hurt yourself", "Stay safe" - which would be irritating in the extreme and a real ball-and-chain to his ability to operate as the driver. The whole drama worked so well because it was about a family with dad and his four kids - why fix what isn't broken?
But season 2 was a joy for me - really looked forward to it each week, loved the cleverness and the twists, never ever tired of the opening credits' OST.

Hmm, what to say about the last 2 episodes and/or the series as a whole?
Well, first off, I did like the show. It didn't feel like a waste of time to watch it nor do I have any blaring complaints. Just like I've said before, I wonder if the different feel this season is because they rainbow crew had somewhat gotten closure last season so there wasn't as much heaviness this time around.
I thought New Driver & Bishop were good antagonists (though I've seen others call them basic or predictable). I feel like Do Ki & New Driver were meant to show different sides of the same coin and their final confrontation kinda confirmed that to me when New Driver said/wondered if his life would've been different if he met them first.
I found his situation kinda heartbreaking. His parents never stopped looking for him which got his father killed and then his final thoughts were of the rainbow crew being warm, friendly, and welcoming to him.
Bishop was a classic manipulative abuser but I thought the actor played him well. I thought his comeuppence was fitting.
Ugh, I'm not a fan of Go Eun & Do Ki being in a relationship. Makes me not even want to consider watching S3.

The pessimistic cynic in me always assumes the worst so my first thought after the Black Sun people were left in the cells was "are we supposed to believe they are starved to death?"
In hindsight, I think they probably alerted authorities and found evidence of their wrongdoing (no matter how long & tedious it probably was considering how intricate their organizations was).
But I think all of S2's cases had endings like that; endings where it seems the culprits die after being abandoned in locations as the story moves on.
I don't fully understand Moon Chae Won's cameo. Is she supposed to be the one who brought the case to them? Is she supposed to have a backstory with Do Ki?
I liked the cameo of the lady who played the first rainbow taxi driver more. Everything about it was cool to me.

I love that they kind of tied all this seasons cases together by mentioning them (and prosecutor Kang).
I love that there was no magical redemption, but adequate punishment for Manager On.
I'm a bit appealed by Do Gi love for violence... why did he put his metal gloves to beat up the guards ? He didn't need that to beat all the prisonniers just before. Yes, this is exaggerated but this superhero lives in an alternate reality, no ?
This drama is another case where my love for the whole team, the music and the story (stories) surpass and annihilate the eye-rolls.
I agree with all the others beanies, we don't need a romance. What we need/want is more fun case resolutions.

The Bishop being next level psycho with getting Ha-joon to kill his own father, wow that is f****d up. When I realized what the backstory was leading up to with the beginning of the episode in context, I was shocked, did not see that coming.
Please god no romance between Do Ki and Go Eun, worst thing they could do in season 3. The dynamics work because they are a family.
I'm always scared when Song-chul is in danger, nobody hurt grandpa!
I hope they go back to a more episodic approach for Season 3, I liked the overarching criminal organization stuff, but prefer 1 and done cases, they lend better to the comedy.
