This is best watched as a binge. Any attempt to watch this with breaks in-between might take you out of the story without you coming back.

I dropped this in the middle of ep 2. Based on your comments I might give it another shot.

I was drawn to this series because of Ha Ji-won comeback and Sung Dong-il real friendship with her. She had been running her own agency and dabbling in painting and art shows. The premise of a separation of a family due to the Korean War is still a current topic of discussion.
The show has the story line and slow pace of a chaebol weekender. There is an ensemble cast with many story arcs but the execution lacked tension and climatic elements. Overall, the story was there to tell but it was not told in a complete, unified and rational fashion with the ending too ambiguous. Overall, I would give the show a B-.

I am satisfied with the ending although I wished it followed the original work where our fake couple remains so.
I saw the film (1951) from where this show is adapted from. The KDrama version is more ambitious introducing new characters with lacking character development, has lots of plot holes, etc., that made the storyline very weak towards the later episodes. It has a stunning cast but sadly, the show missed its opportunity to be a great one. C+
