Drama viewership ratings for the week of Aug. 29-Sep. 4, 2022
by DB Staff
It’s a quiet week in ratings… until we hit the weekend. There, Big Mouth continues to perform quite well, hitting 12% this week, while Little Women had a great premiere hitting almost 8% (color me impressed!). With more new dramas coming down the pike, though, things should be shaken up nicely in the coming weeks.

Little Women is penned by Mother's scriptwriter and directed Vincenzo's director. And the leads as well as the cameos are solid...unlike AoS that only has Hoong sisters to boot.

Writer Jung has been the Legendary Park Chan-wook's writing partner since 2005. She has more than just a solid reputation in movies and, lately, dramas.

Little Women is excellent and deserves the high ratings. I wanted to wait and binge it, but I just can't wait, lol.

IT'S BEAUTIFUL NOW is doing OK for a weekender. It is a pity that it does not get the same ratings as its predecessor which relied upon an absurd level of makjangish tricks to attract its audience- although I have to also give credit to superb performances by the two leads for making the nonsense believable. The story lines in IT'S BEAUTIFUL NOW, while a bit tropish are at least believable, making it a superior story worthy of better ratings.
I had hoped that GOOD JOB would get netter ratings for no other reason than it is fun. It may not be great drama, but we do not always need great drama.

It's Beautiful Now is the first weekender that I can remember that has not hit 30% during its run. Maybe House of Bluebird didn't, but that one was years ago and a mess all around. It's a shame because It's Beautiful Now is one of the better weekenders

I am just afraid that the lesson learned will be the more makjang the better. Not that I do not enjoy a good makjang story- just not in my weekenders.

I enjoy makjang too but 50 episodes of it gets a bit much. More normal weekenders like Once Again have gotten good ratings so hopefully they don't take the wrong lesson from this. I think casting may have been an issue as IBN didn't really have any breakout stars.

ONCE AGAIN was definitely a weekender that was done right. It remains one of my favorites.

Little Women absolutely deserves the ratings. This is the power of excellent writing and acting.
A drama I wish was doing better is Adamas. It’s so well-paced, written and directed. Truly a shame that it’s not doing well. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting something suspenseful.
I guess Good Job isn’t quite hitting those EAW numbers. It’s nowhere near as good as the first half of that show, but I thought with the success of Bossam and maybe carry-over viewers, it would’ve done better.

Little Woman is excellent all around. I'm glad the ratings are good.
Adamas is Ji Sung's lowest rated drama but one of his best IMO. Starting during the EAW craze was a death knell. I still think tvN was dumb not to put it on Mon-Tues.

I really hope Ji Sung at least gets some awards love for his work on Adamas because he’s incredible. tvN’s inability to air their dramas during an appropriate timeslot continues to kill me.

Ji Sung is the best! But for some reason, he always gets snubbed. When he got some awards starting from Secret to hitting it big with KMHM, it was like they finally gave him awards attention!
But with Baeksangs/non-network shows, he gets snubbed. Like Devil's Judge (some mixed on the ending), but I thought he should've been nominated at least. Baeksang's seem to nominate for cable 5-6% for lowest ratings, so Adamas will most likely get underlooked :/
