[Theme of the Month] Sharing dramas
by DB Staff
This month’s theme is all about sharing dramas. Sometimes, we get so excited by our love of this genre that we feel we must share it with others and bring them into the fold. Or at least try to. Because if they would just try watching a drama, you know they would love it.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it’s a disgraceful failure. Sometimes you create a K-drama monster that’s bigger than you; other times you’re left feeling like the alien in the room. I mean, of course amnesia is a crucial plot device, amirite?
Tell us about the experiences you’ve had while trying to share K-dramas with others. Was it wildly successful? A humiliating defeat? Good, bad, or ugly, we want to hear.
To submit:
- Email your submission to hello @ dramabeans.com. If you have a registered Dramabeans account, include your handle so we can link to it.
- Include at least 1 image, though more are preferred.
- Suggested length: Between 500 and 1,000 words.
- Deadline: We will post these on a rolling basis, so we’re taking submissions now. We will cut off accepting submissions on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. If you miss this month, join us for a new theme next month!

@db-staff This is such a fun one. I host a podcast and we have discussed Squid Games and we will also be talking about Tomorrow. Whenever I can, I try to include a Korean drama for our discussions :)

Oh, great theme!
Sadly, all my own attempts to get kdramas to catch on with my friends and family have failed ☹️

I have one friend in my knitting circle that I turned on to Kdramas. Now we sit around gushing about the last episode of "Hospital Playlist" that we saw while everyone else rolls their eyes at us.

Tried to get my husband to watch a few with me. Started with Hwayugi. He liked the first eight or so episodes but refused to watch more. (He is a sworn fan of Cha Seung Won now). He agrees the production quality and acting is top notch but watches rarely with me. (He does not like Horror or crime which are my favourite genre)
