The disconnect between traditional viewers and the internet has always been fascinating to me.
Military prosecutor has consistently been posting good to great numbers throughout its run yet no one is talking about it, this isn't exactly a weekend drama that is primarily targeted towards older audiences either
Similarly 39 was pretty much trashed around these parts and everywhere else on the internet, but had a fairly good run ratings wise, so did Forecasting Love
A good reminder that online echo chambers don't necessarily reflect the tastes of every day people
Our Blues looks like a another hit for tvN though, they are really on a roll this year

I think it is largely star power. Rant or rave, the stars' it is. How to become that star everyone wants to put their two-cents on? Combination of good story, visuals, and other technical aspects. Most stars I guess have that 'it' factor that shone in one outing and carried people along in their next assignments.

BUSINESS PROPOSAL ended with high numbers but actually slightly down from the penultimate week- the final episodes were in fact les funny and flatter- and had departed from the spirit of the webtoon and even its core concepts to some extent, a lesson that I hope was not lost on K-drama executives. I do think that BP was a real step forward for Korean drama- providing an example of how to do rom-com right even if it did not stick the landing- and even that failure is a cautionary tale in itself: Stay true to your core concepts to the end as a lesson to be learned. In its last episodes BP did not do that and the audience, to some extent, fell off.
OUR BLUES seems interesting. It has a good cast and that showed. I too have been looking forward to it and apparently, I was not alone.
The new weekender IT'S BEAUTIFUL NOW is starting well- after the first four episodes it has found its footing. So far it is good and I find its main characters engaging.
The sageuk tragedy KING OF TEARS has fully regained its audience. The writer is Lee Jung-woo who apparently has no previous writing credits. That is likely to change in the future- this show is ery well written. The actors are doing a very good job as well but that is easier when you have a good script.

I think the slight drop of Business Proposal rating could also be resulted by reappearance of Military Prosecutor Doberman which didn't aired the week before.

Although "Tomorrow" has one week head start, "Again my life" caught up and was slightly ahead. I am streaming both and like them both so far. I am interested to see these two running head to head all the way to the end. They have two very different approach - "Tomorrow" focuses on individual stories/cases every week while slowly unwrapping the background whereas "Again My Life" has a big spider web about this big villain we are to hate and want to see how our hero/heroines get ready for the ultimate confrontation.

I've been disappointed with KBS during the horse incident, but "The King of Tears, Lee Bang-won" is a masterpiece and deserves higher ratings. It has been the best-written sageuk since NOKDU FLOWER.
This drama is a real treat, especially if you are a history geek. The main characters' historical background spans from the three kingdoms era to King Sejong (future).
I had hoped that the women would not be forgotten like many sageuks of this era since they played a significant role in the establishment of Joseon. Finally, we got to see it on screen, and I loved every minute of it.
